Heron Glen Golf Course, Ringoes, NJ

Played this course 3 years ago and found it in excellent condition. Played it today and found it not the same. The layout is great but there was plenty of crabgrass and a lot of the fairways were showing wear. This course needs TLC to bring it back to the condition of my previous visit.

This is in the top 5 of the best public golf courses in NJ. The design is great - good shots are rewarded bad shots are penalized. The maintenance is always done well. I look forward to playing this course every year. I don't know why it does not get the accolades it deserves as I would compare this with many of the courses touted in FL, SC and elsewhere.

Heron Glen is a must play golf course for all NJ, NY and PA residents. The course is in great shape, reasonable pricing and the staff is great.

Ok course....BUT not a $73.00 value! The really odd thing is the difference between the senior (over 55) rate and regular rate. My two buddies played for $48.00 and I paid $73.....$25 gap??? Better value at $48. I don't think I will be back. It is nice they offer the locals a break on price...we were not local.
