Played on 8/29/10. I've played many different courses throughout my 20 year experience in playing golf and this is easily the worst course I've ever played. The conditions of fairways and greens were just horrendous. Fairways were uncut and in poor condition; sometimes it was hard to tell whether you were in the fairway or the rough. My playing partner couldn't find a ball after hitting the fairway. Greens were agonizingly slow and most of back 9 holes had no grass; they are not qualified to be called as putting greens. Can't believe they charged regular green fees of $54/person with those conditions. The holes are so close to each other and the course lacks tree lines to separate one hole from other; you can't help but noticing so many people swarming around all the time because holes are so close to one another. No privacy, very disturbing. We had to wake up at 5AM expecting a nice peaceful day out, but we really had a terrible time. We decided to record this course name in our note to avoid booking this course again by accident in the future.

I haven't played many courses but I love this course. forces you to be a little more accurate. The fairways are kept immaculate. the greens are mixed between slow and fast, hard to judge. The rough is very rough, thick.

had a tee time for 11:15am for a group of 4 we didnt get on til 12pm but we where given a card for a free round of golf each so that more than made up for the wait, free burgers and hotdogs at the 9th hole is a great deal, for 18 holes with a cart, and free food, for 28 bucks you cant really beat that deal in morris county, if you can please let me know??? Plus beer girls that drive around with cold beverages, the course is kept in great condition as well.......

Love this course! Everything has been in great condition except the tee boxes on 14. Pace of play good and rangers everywhere to make sure. All the staff have been extreamley nice and polite. Rough is insane, really thick your better off hitting into the woods than one foot off the fairway.

I have heard from my family and friends this course can get pretty backed up but we were 'lucky', I guess. There was no wait at 11 AM today - a SUNDAY - and with the specials they have on the web (25 bucks with cart) it isn't bad. The course itself has some 'painfully' challenging holes, but overall well worth the value. Greens and tee boxes were in very good condition but was indeed slow play. Not really sure why, as we seemed to be in a good pace but wound up playing five hours.

The other comments are true, this course can absolutely devestate you in terms of wait. For us, it's convenient because it's so close, however, wait times due to slow play could make courses 2 hours away worth the drive.

Anyhow, the course is not that difficult and it is decently kept, but ultimately it's way too packed on weekends. Haven't golfed there during the week. It once took us 3 hours to play 9 holes. I'm not kidding -- we play fast, average of 10 minutes per hole. But 20 minutes per hole? No thanks. I don't have 6 hours to play a round of golf. There are no rangers to be found anywhere on this course. I think I saw one once, but he was about 16 years old.

At the end of last season, I went 4 times to Minebrook and didn't play a full round once. That should tell you something. Look elsewhere if you value your time.

The conditions on this course, like mega-maid from Spaceballs, have gone from suck to blow... avoid.

Warning: the "All You Can Play" deal is a big fraud.

Our foursome booked a 7am tee time and drove in from nyc to hopefully play 36 holes of golf. We finished up around 11am, was told to wait till 2:15 for a tee time, then when 2:15 rolled around, told us that they did not have room to fit us in because of "paying customers" who booked tee-times and TWO tournaments going on. We were not informed of any tournaments when we booked the tee time. When I complained to management, I was told basically "Too bad, we have two tournaments today and we don't have room for you. " I don't understand why they would take our money for all-you-can-play when they OBVIOUSLY did not have room for us to play a second 18.

The employees at this course are very helpful and concerned about PACE OF PLAY. It's not their fault that all the hackers in the world come there to play because of the price during the week. If all golfers played READY GOLF and not watch the ball flight for 10 minutes of all players in the group maybe the guy who stated it took him 6 hours to play wouldn't be so unhappy and ARROGANT. GET A LIFE! Play Golf America and RELAX and keep up with the group in front of you. There are RANGERS all over the place every day! Maybe the reason you might not see them is because they are following guys like you.Every employee goes out of their way to accomadate the players. If people are unhappy with the pace of play why come? Oh I know, it has has to be the free food and all you can play. GET A LIFE. MINEBROOK is great and one of the better kept courses.

Can you beat the price during the week? You can play as many holes as you want, 36 holes for 35 bucks.. Even 54 if you wanted to.. Front nine is pretty easy, back nine is much more difficult but not that bad at all.. The course does not stand out in anyway.. but if your looking for somewhere were you can play all day, here it is.. It can get pretty backed up tho..

Hackers Delight, if you are brave enough to play this course I advise you to wear a helmet. I can't remember as many ill advised golf balls flying around me for a round of golf than this one (and they were not in my group). If your average score is 115 then this is the course for you, swing away and don't worry where your ball goes and/or who it hits because nobody else does.

Bad bug problem this time of year...

This course was very fun but I certainly struggled in spots. It can get the best of you (if you're a beginner that is, TheProf...) I agree with him though on his take on 2 threesomes slowing down the game, everyone understands beginners slowing it down but there should be a way to keep up the pace of play in large groups so you can stay in a rhythm. They controlling it off the 1st tee but that was about it. I feel everything is kept wonderful for the price though - will be back.

I played this course a few years ago...and what a cow pasture it was!! Played again recently, and wow....course was in much better shape. I understand it is now under new ownership. So, in 2007....a decent course now.

Conditions here can now be considered average. Tee boxes are ok, but greens are much improved. Fairways are now grass, and not cut weeds.

Lots of beginners play this, beware of the 5-6 players per hole groups that can bring play to a 10 minute wait per hole hault. Course management needs to address this problem.

Expect tree-lined holes where you need to be straight. Length is less than 6000 yards, and playing from the tips makes for a decent challenge.

Regarding Tim's comment below......I really don't mind waiting for a foursome in front of me. But Minebrook has not addressed the problem of two 3-somes pairing up to make a group of 6. If they are all struggling, the train of foursomes behind this group are in for a very long day.
