Played New Jersey National GC May '16. Surprised this is a private course (crowded); conditions were only OK- course seemed over played; traps and greens could use attention; and staff seemed disinterested in helping golfers.

Recently played NJN in spring 2016 and was very disappointed for a private course. Conditions were same as public course: VERY crowded, slow play, over watered fairways, atrociously maintained traps. Overall NJN is poorly managed and lacks customer focus. Empire Golf Management are AMATEURS attempting to run a golf course.

Play this course daily and the improvement is tremendous. It went from being a worn course to some of the best shape the course has ever been. I enjoy the course overall.

Played NJ National and truly enjoyed the golf course. The greens and tees were in excellent condition and the pace of play was 4:15 for a weekend afternoon (unheard of on a public golf course). Course was busy, but moved quickly. We never had to wait on a shot. Seemed to be the place to be!

Very nice course. Fairways were pristine

Played in fall of 2008. Challenging course design, but conditions were typical of public play- bumpy/pitted greens, slow play, and worn out tees. Frequent nonmember outings throughout the week have taken their toll, leaving the course in disrepair. Why pay private club fees for public course conditions?

Years ago I played this course when it hosted the NJ-Am Championship and the course was phenomenal. However, I went to play it at the end of last year '07 and the course had seriously gone downhill. The greens were beat up and far slower than I remembered them. The tee boxes were a mess and really shows the quality of golfers getting their rounds in there. The views are great and there is sooo much potential with this course but until they get it under control....I would pass on playing there.
