Fun course. This is a great course for the bogie golfer with nice wide fairways. The greens were a bit dry and could use some fixing up, but they still decent. Not a lot of bunkers or hazards. Only one pond, so if you're looking for that sort of thing, you won't find it. There are still some challenges and the course has interesting elevation changes. The layout is very nice and one tee box is literally off a cliff. I had a really good time golfing this course and although not the most challenging, it makes up for it in pure fun.

Paschal has always been a fun course to play. Remember, you're playing where Arnold Palmer played when he was a student at Wake Forest College.
The layout is fun and the greens, while small, were in good condition. If they haven't been mowed in a few days, they can be pretty slow. Fairways were "OK" and all in all, this is a must play for it's historic value; over 100 years old. Keep the pace up, the ghost of Mr. Palmer might be right behind you.

We really enjoy this course. I agree, the other comments are quite accurate. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned golfer you will have fun here. Variety and wildlife are abundant. I like the hills and they are working on new landscaping. The fairways are not all that narrow, but a straight drive always helps. The course is actually in quite good shape and not too intimidating. They offer a reasonable membership, too. Their staff is great and you cannot beat the price. All in all, it is a nice place and a great way to spend the day.

If your looking to get in a cheap 9 holes in the area this the place to go. However, you get what you pay for. The greens were in good shape but the fairways and roughs were bad.

The 3 previous reviews are very accurate. Like your favorite old recliner, shoes or sweater Paschal is a rough & ready old gal. Don't expect amenities or maintenance like one would @ Wakefield, Heritage or Hasentree. The great price is what sets it aside from the previous mentioned courses. Paschal is a great place for a beginner looking to step up from Par 3 courses without being bombarded with insane yardages from longer courses. During the spring & summer you can find couples and families enjoying the course & watching the deer during the evenings. The best holes to spot the deer are #1 fairway, #3left fairway (trail runs between #1 & #3 where they retreat to from golfers)& # 9 right fairway While Paschal doesn't have a signature hole to speak of my favorite hole is the # 4 par 3 AKA "The Cliff hanger". Cliff hanging is exactly what your ball looks like suspended literally hanging in the air before finally landing on the green. Though my foursome plays Paschal regularly in our course rotation you always get a bit juiced up for the "cliff hanger" Paschal has always been rough and ready but very comfortable for the person or persons looking to work on the their game. Almost forgot there is construction now @ Paschal. They're widening the entire creek making #5 par 4 a longer forced carry, #9 behind the green will be sitting closer to the creek so keep those 2nd shots into the green in front of the hole. The widening of the creek will extend from the entrance to Route 98 It's expected to be finished by this March. If your looking for a course that's not crowded, enjoyable @ a great price tee it up @ Paschal like the the king Arnie did in his college days @ Wake Forest.
