Love this course. It is well maintained and difficult enough to be challenged but still enjoy your day out. My girlfriend had just started golfing and so our foursome was slow but we were never rushed and they provided a set of clubs for her at no cost when she was just going to share her sister's. On top of all of this, I left my wallet in the cart and when they found it they called me to notify me and mailed it no charge. I will certainly be coming back.

I liked it! Especially the price.

Played Sea Scape alone on an early December Monday (the Monday after Thanksgiving) in the late morning. The course was largely empty and I was able to play comfortably in just two hours and 15 minutes. I encountered two twosomes on the back nine that graciously allowed me through without me having to ask. Friendly people.

The course, which was in pretty good shape especially given the time of year, has an interesting layout with dogleg par 4s, plenty of hills, and some tough par 3s. The back nine appears to be significantly easier and shorter than the front nine, although holes 16 and 17 are quite challenging.

They had a deal on their website for a round and a cart for $17.25. That is a great deal. The usual price for a round in December is $50. Like most Outer Banks courses, the price of a round drastically increases in the busy summer period - largely due to the fact that there are only 4 courses in the upper half of the Outer Banks.

There is a bar/restaurant on premises, which I did not get to try.

In summary, this is a nice course and a worthy play, especially if you can get a round for $17 and change!

Great course. Fast greens.

Reviewed September 08, 2008

The course was very expensive $70 for afternoon play, and the greens were not maintained very well. There were divots and sploches all over the greens. And there were no broken tee buckets at the Tee boxes so they were littered with tees and cigarette butts. The overall couse was okay with a very nice cart path (paved throught the entire course) but other than that I would have expected much better for $70 at the discount rate and $90 normally. I won't play there again while on vacation.

They added hole layouts ... If you want to play them all like I did .. play it. If not go to the sister course Kilmarlic

Course was in good shape. I agree with the other comment. There are no diagrams on score card and or at the Hole. Luckily we played with a gentlemen who has a condo there and plays regularly. Course is not difficult but makes you think which is always good. It's not a driver on every hole. Tough to say if i would spend 100.00 again to play. The guy who lives there twice a year, paid 20.00 a round.

Utter Waste of Time

Do NOT waste your time or money on this place. I played it after it just re-opened, and the staff were unfriendly and rude; there were no hole diagrams on the scorecard OR at the tee box; the scorecards were all incorrect; and there are condos being built way-too close to the fairways. There was also no practice range. It really isn't a "links course" either. The course is average at best.
