This course is what golf should be. The layout flows beautifully through the natural terrain, the course conditions were near perfect, and the pace of play and value could not be beat.

It was 50$ to play here on a Saturday morning, and most of the groups on the course were fast-playing members that had absolutely no problem letting a faster group play through.

The greens were some of the truest I have played all year, and the scenery seemed to be one with the layout- as opposed to a feature of the course. It looks like this place has been here for many decades when it is only about 20 years old. The only slightly negative aspect of this course (that does not affect play), is that about 12/18 holes have houses nearby.

Bottom line- if you are in the Outer Banks area and you are a serious golfer you should come here. It will be half the price of the OBX courses, and just as good all around. Granted, there are some other must-plays around OBX, but if they are too crowded Albemarle Plantation is about an hour drive west past Elizabeth City. Awesome.

A challenging yet beautiful course. The staff is always incredible. A great value for the price.
