Where do I begin??? First of all I read all the previous reviews, obviously of which, all positive ones were done by manangement. This course, SERIOUSLY, may be the worst in the state. EVERY fairway had a least 100 yards of complete sand. The greens would make ashpalt seem as if you were putting on molasses. Any downhill putt would run 20 feet past the hole and forget about making the putt because the green isn't at all true. The review that said this is a cow pasture must have taken the liberty of being generous that day because that would be an insult to all cows and their pastures. $15 w/o a cart would seem like an great value, but trust me IT IS NOT. New management, old management..., whatever, DON'T PLAY HERE. Thankfully, they had logo balls today because I will never be back.

If you’re looking for a course under $30 Sleepy Creek is not a bad deal. This course is perfect for someone trying to play a quick round of golf without dealing with crowded courses. Course has a great layout with the longleaf pines and the hilly terrain. Sleepy Creek needs permanent cart paths and more grass to hide the fact that the land is very very sandy

The course has made considerable progress in improving the fairways, greens and roughs. It is a most enjoyable layout. Current prices of $18 for weekday and $23 for weekend and holidays and $15 and $18 for seniors 60+, students 13 to 18 and active military are the best value anywhere. Prices to go up to $20 and $25 July 1, 2009. Seniors, students and military will be $15 and $20.

This course has made a complete turn around. New Management. Greens roll good, fairways well maintained. You will be tested if you don't hit the fairways. Best value in Wayne County.

Stay away - difficulty is due to the fairways and greens.
They are sand. The layout is OK but the condition is the worst I have seen or heard of.

Sleepy Creek

Difficult to find.....directions not accurate. Golf course is like playing on a cow field. Cheap but still not worth the drive. Good for beginners who don't like to pay the $, and just get out a few times a year. Not busy, greens and fairways not the best shape and could use A LOT of work.

Great Course

Great greens, even at this time of year. GPS equipped. I played 4 rounds first week of April and was impressed with the condition of the course at this time of year. The course has been greatly improved. The greens are well trimmed, the Tee boxes are cut well and the approaches were in good shape.Enjoyable quite country scenery. I would highly recommend playing here. You can't beat the course for the price.

This is not a good one...

this place is a golf course? I am still a rookie per say, but this course is horrible. The greens were not cut. They resembled a fairway. tee boxes were completely overgrown. Don't waste your time!!! ++++++ they do not take credit cards, cash only ++++++
