I played this course on 4/3/11. Beautiful sunny spring day. The rate was very good..$35 with cart. They were only taking cash that day...that was a surprise! Glad I had rec'd my allowance for the week! The course was green which was very pleasant. Tee boxes were just a touch "fuzzy"...but it sure beats dirt! They had aerated the greens last week....so putting was a challenge. The greens were VERY slow. The course as mentioned earlier is very up and down..esp on the front side. Its also long from the whites....approx 6,400 yards. Most of the Par 4's are 375+..some uphill...making this a challenging course for short hitters. Hole # 15 is a long uphill Par 4 with a blind pond on your second shot. You really need to drive up and look it over before your second shot. One reviewer had said the front nine is tight. I have to disagree...I thought the landing areas were fair. One hole #4 was tight on the second shot....but that's about it. Overall..I enjoyed the course. Wish the greens would have been better....but it was only $35..so I can't complain. Its out of the way....but worth the drive. Scenery...priceless!

Played this course while on vacation and it was the highlight of the golf courses we played.
For 52 bucks you get a well maintained, well run golf course with Lunch included in your green fee.
The fariways and greens were in good to very good shape, fun to hit out of and the greens were just challenging enough to make you think about the putt.
To me this is a hidden gem of a course in western NC, I will play this course again.

This is a decent track. The greens are hard to read with many minor undulations that make reading 12 foot putt impossible.

Hole number 2 is stupid with the power lines that I seem to hit every other time I go out there. Other than that it is a fair test of golf.

One of the best golf courses in Western N.C. A true challenge. There are some wide-open holes and some tight ones to truly test your skill. It's fairly level for a mountain course.
