This course is nothing but dirt on the fairways & approaches. It's completely un-playable & should be closed.

The course is under a new owner now and it was a nice clean and well matained course. The inlet true problome is that this app has the holes backwards. They changed the back nine to the front.

This course has so much potential so its very frustrating to see this course in such poor condition. The fairway is non-existant, the rough (if its there) is dead, and the lake has strangely disappeared and it seems that there is no intention of keeping it a lake, instead it it just a pile of weeds. I am frustrated because the layout of this course is actually very good but the way they have kept this course discourages me from playing there. The only good thing about this course is the value. You get exactly what you paid for $20 for 18 holes is incredible. But the course is only worth this much....

Wow, This place was horrible. Rundown in every way. Poor fairways, undefined fairways etc... . Nice enough people but jeez, make an effort at upkeep.

One positive is you can spray the ball off the tee because the fairways and rough are the same and overlap all over.

Won't go back

This course is a joke. I had a golf match at this course and its just sad. There where dead fish in the fairways, and all the fairways where dead with no grass like playing off of dirt. what makes it even worse is when you have to play a dump like this when you can see tapawingo as your playing it.

PCHgolf11 and sluv need to get a life. The course is an average course in the middle of St. Louis county. Maybe PCH and sluv didn't like having to put their own shoes on or something terrible like that.
It's a course that's easy to walk. The back 9 is easier than the front because of water. Since the lakes are actually part of an active creek, sometimes they are up, sometimes down. Maybe if the two cry babies would have cried into the creek the water would have come up a lot.
If you walk and are a senior it's a real good value.

The picture displayed on this website is not even from Sunset Lakes Golf Course. They do not have a true island green with a bridge.
This course is filled with lakes that are extremely low on water, filthy dirty, and eye sores.
The fairways are filled with weeds and it is difficult to tell where the rough ends and the fairways begin.
Owner is extremely rude and unwelcoming.
Course is not worth the money.
Go across the street and play Tapawingo National - Sunset Lakes is a hoosier dump.

quite possibly the worst course in the St. Louis area. If you're going to waste your time and come all the way out to "hickville" you might as well play the Gary Player designed Tapawingo across the street!
