Not too bad of a course. Straight and wide open, but tends to attract a lot of hackers so watch for slow play and balls cris-crossing fairways. Not worth the $65 rate though when it is 45 minutes from Boston.

August 29, 2010. Played this course for the first time. Challenging, narrow track. Greens were fast, but in tough condition - pitted, a few bald spots. Fairways were fine, but no yardage makers on any of the sprinkler heads and some of the 150 markers were missing or not easily visable. Too many of the holes were identical and unimaginative. Not rushing back for $69.00 at 3 p.m. on a Sunday - and when we finished at 7:30, all the facilities were closed.

this was a tough course. the maintenance is getting better. theyre really trying to get the course condition up to a very high standards. they had a guy raking the traps with a machine and then hand raked by someone else. the greens were super fast. you need to be straight on this course. a good challenge. id come back. hopefulyl it would be in a little better shape in a few seasons.

I had to check it out since Jeremy Roenick and Thayer Academy bought the course. It had been a real nice course until about 10 years ago when the owners let it go. It's almost done and pretty much the only thing i could tell that was obvious is the asphalt cart paths are still a nightmare and bunkers were like clay. I forget which hole but it's still missing the yardage sign. That temporary green is finally gone...(hole 10 i think?) and hole 4?(par 3)getting a new tee box ? They are hurting for business, offering memberships for $1200 when i was there last month(down from $1600) i played there on a 2 for 1 coupon which really made it an incredible value. it's normally $65 to ride on sat/sun. hopefully by mid-season next year it will be back up to championship status.

I played here yesterday after hearing of the new ownership. I had not played here for 4 years because of the conditions. I was impressed with all the work being done, the course is coming along nicely, the fairways are in great shape, the rough is a little sparse, and the greens are not bad. I was told the greens, fringe and approach's were aerated last week and should be in great shape in a couple of weeks and that the rough had been overseeded. I was told that the bunkers are going to be redone and that a lot of tree's had been taken down to improve light and air to help the greens grow. The people in the pro shop were very friendly and helpful. I had a very pleasant day and i will be back.

After hearing the club is under new Ownership I decided to check it out. The renovations to the buildings are extensive and look to be very nice once fully completed. The golf course is now getting some attention and looks to be in much better condition for the start of the season. The staff are all very pleasent and excited all the work being done. Look for Pembroke CC to be back at the top of the better clubs on the south shore in the next couple seasons.
They have a new website

This course has a great design.. but the ownership has no interest in maintaining this course.. Fairways may look like rough.. greens may have bare spots... but it is pretty cheap. They used to have a lot of members.. they have all pretty much left..

This could be a GREAT course, but owners have put 0 dollars into the course. The greens, fairways, and tee boxes all need help. Playing after 5 pm for $20 is worth it though.
