This course is under new management and looking great! Significant improvements, reasonable rates, and new carts. The new management team is really invested in the course’s future. The clubhouse and kitchen have also been improved. You should take the time to check it out, for those of you who were unhappy with your experience you should give them another try.
I just got raped at Whaling City Golf Course! They should've paid me to play.I cannot believe what has happened to the Donald Ross course.A terrific layout and a challenging track has been pissed upon by the current management company. How does this happen to what should be a gem for the New Bedford people?I'll tell you how.Greed, avarice and ineptitude with a healthy helping of disdain for the game of golf, that's how.Johnson Golf marking their territory with their own odiferous scat!A real bunch of pukes.
The Whale, as it is called by the locals is more like a Dinosaur! You've got to be kidding. I guess the course is owned by the unfortunate people of New Bedford. "A Donald Ross inspired course..." Super, were the stones in the bunkers also inspired? The Johnson ?management company really has put its bad name on this one. And, if you would enjoy a time travel to see the Flintstones, just head into the "clubhouse". It is like walking back in time, a time that should be forgotten. The bar was enlightening. The bartender greeted me and my friends with: "You're gunna have to wait...I'm busy" We left after 5 minutes of her boisterous profane language.
