Great course. Well maintained. A gem within the city limits. With additional funds, this course will only get better. Will definitely play again soon.

This course does not belong anywhere near the top of any ranking system for golf courses. Layout is decent, but condition is horrible.

George Wright is a great public course. The Donald Ross greens roll beautifully and are in great shape.

The fairways are generally in good shape except a couple holes where they can be very wet, but that can happen anywhere. The rough can be patchy, its called rough for a reason. The mature trees make for a great scenic walk thru a very challenging layout. Many really quality golf holes on this course.

I always bring my golfing visitors to this course. It Never disappoints. Aim towards the center of all greens, they aren't that big and the turtle back kick balls on the edge into the rough.

A True test of Golf

Play this course from the tips and you will feel like you have earned your score!!! This is a tight course demanding accuracy off the tee. If you hit tee shots straight you will be rewarded with good looks at the green. Once you get close to the green look for all the subtle ridges and valleys which make this a true test of your golfing skill. If you are off line watch out. There are lots of subtle hill side lies all over the course. The more you play this course the more you will understand you must have a strategy about where to hit the ball in order to score well . For the average player this course might be too difficult because of its tightness. Skilled players will get to test their shot making and course management skills. Bring extra balls!!!!!!

It is just a great layout of a course.

The challenge is definately there. Once again Donald Ross makes a great course.
