don't know what the problem was in 2010 but today I'd rate this well better than the average muni. A good course with reasonable challenges, both fairways and greens in good shape. Tee boxes nice and level. Great scenery and the value thru the KY Park system/ golflink was great. Not a Hilton Head or Jekyll Island resort but not even half their costs.Best course in this area

I can't imagine why this course has been rated so highly by others in the past. True, it does have some great holes, and it lies in a pretty valley at the foot of Pine Mountain, but otherwise, it's weak. When we played, the course was in terrible condition. They had aerated the greens about 10 days ago, so I'm not giving them bad marks for green condition. The fairways, however, were filled with bare spots and weeds - very little grass. It was more advantageous to be in the rough. The tee boxes were mostly dirt with small patches of grass here and there. Add in a slow pace of play that yielded a five-hour round and the roar of US25E, a major four-lane highway within 100 yards of four greens, and it was not a very serene or pastoral experience. I played this course about 6 years ago and it was not in great condition then, but I gave them another chance, and it's in worse shape now. At $25, it can't be considered a rip-off, but I won't be back.

This is an awesome course but it will beat you up. There are some really narrow fairways and I hope you can swim. Lot's of water! I had a near perfect day, weather wise, but my game struggled. It was still a great day because this course is very well kept and the views are unbelievable. Enjoy.
