It is sad the condition of this course has become, when it opened the course was very nice and well maintained, each year the course becomes worse, all bunkers are virtually unplayable and the course never looks manicured. I do like the layout of the course but the overall condition is bad.

We have played three courses in Central Kentucky and the best kept course this winter is definitely Old Silo. The greens were still smooth and pretty quick.

I have played all the top public courses in the state. This is the definitely the best I have played. No other public course offers this golf experience in Kentucky. I went on some deal for $99 that included golf and hotel.

Good challenge, nice people and smooth greens. My only knock is that it's next to an Interstate highway so a few holes are noisy.

This is a beautiful course with every type of feature that you could ask for in this area. There's only a hole or two that you can let your guard down at all. If you like challenges, try to get a par on number 15, it will whip you hind end!

Beautiful mountain top course. Maintained and designed very well.

Love this course. I've played @ all the top rated courses in central and eastern KY., and this is one of the best. It's demanding, yet rewarding. It is located between central and eastern KY. so it has rolling hills and beautiful hardwood trees. Hope you can drive into some tight fairways, and you will have to deal with elevation changes, but a very fun course.

Got on the course late in the season, so maybe that would explain the condition of the greens and fairways. You'll definitely need a sand wedge, maybe even a shovel. I like the change in elevation. I was disappointed in the lack of hole information on the scorecard and at the each tee box. I'm glad I played the course, but also glad I didn't pay full price.

Really good, difficult course. One of the best public courses in KY (maybe the best). Great price! Bring your game as this course is a real challenge with tight fairways/landing areas, lots of bunkers, elevation changes, deep rough and hazards of every variety. And it doesn't get much easier once on the green as they are usually fast with lots of undulations. The course is almost always in great shape. Good iron play is a must!!!

Old Silo

This course is tough, but really great fun to play. Lots of bunkers, elevation changes, streams, and some very stiff rough make this a challenge for any level.

If you add to these a significant wind, which is often present on this mostly open course [and was with us last time], the 139 slope likely is quite understating.

We loved it!
