Great value. Enjoyable course. Well maintained.

I can not afford to belong to one of our fancy Country Clubs but love to play golf. I don't go to the city parks, swim in their pools or play on their tennis courts. Only golf. If my taxes go to support city parks, swimming pools and tennis courts why shouldn't it help support the golf courses. This course is the closest I will ever be able to play at a Country Club type course. It has a nice pro shop, very nice snack bar and right now it has one of the best shape golf courses in this area. And after playing if I want to sit under the "new patio" and have a cold beer or coke with lunch I can get that there also. Don't judge it unless you have been there city government and listen to you voters if you want to keep your positions. Thanks

Great course to sharpen you skills on. Small greens most with moderate deep bunkers that can be lightning fast at times. Several must have shots placed to stay on putting surface. Course is well maintained. Fairways are tight. Short from the white tees can be played without driver. Blue tees are long enough to challenge good golfers. Greens are tough, with lots of "small" trouble to get into, deep rough, bunkers, mounds, banks. One complaint is the sand in bunkers is usually shallow and if wet is hard to place a shot onto small greens. Overall "looks" easy on card. In reality much harder to score low.

As a junior playing this course one thing I got to say is , big and nice.Beside's that it's a great course for anyone that now's how to drive a ball , realy good and the thing I LOVVED the most was the pool , because you could play nine hole's then just go jump in and cool off.IT'S NOT THAT EXSPENCIVE to get a junior in etheir.

I always like to play this course, the greens are very nice, some of the fairways are a little rough. When I played most recently the rough was cut at about 2", so it was playable even if you missed the fairway. The course is an older design from the late 20s, so it is short but the greens are very small. I've not felt crowded in the rounds I played there. It's a good course to walk if you're in decent shape -- not a lot of long walks from green to the next tee.

This course is a very well maintained course at a good value. Some of the course is right next to a busy road so be cautious if you tend to slice your drives.

Ok course for the value. I would rather play Lakeside or Tates Creek at a similar price range if I am in Lexington.

For the money can't beat it. Course has been in great shape. My favorite in Lexington.

Great value and nice greens. The hole layout and small greens with tree lines fairways make this course fun and yet difficult enough to score low if a player can not keep it in the fairway. It plays to reward the player for shots in the fairway with a good 2nd shot attempt into the green. Likewise, it can be a bit difficult to overpower this golfcourse due to the tree line fairways on most of the holes.

Fairways are coming out of dormancy being bermuda are greening up. Course will be perfect soon, built in 1927 it can hold its own.

The Fairways on this course are horribly maintained. It is by far my least favorite municple course in lexington.

This is old-school golf at it's best. Has a old country club feel to it. Though short, the small target greens and tree-lined fairways offer a great challenge. Course condition is always good to great. The bermuda fairways during the summer are arguably the best in Central KY. Staff does a great job, too.

Challenging course

Typical price and maintenance for your average municipal course; however, this course is tight with a lot of trees. I found it to be a fairly challenging course.
