The 18-hole "Gold" course at the SPG Green Garden Country Club facility in Frankfort, Illinois features 6,679 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 70.9 and it has a slope rating of 122. Designed by Buzz Diddier, the Gold golf course opened in 1991. Michael Vay manages the course as the General Manager/Director of Golf.

Both courses are very accessible to the average golfer. You don't have to be super long off the tee to score well here. If you can hit GIR or chip well, just about any average golfer can score. I've always felt that the par 3's have more personality that the par 4's and 5's. Nice place to spend the day. Good value.

Not a bad coarse, can be a little boring. Sand traps are absolutely awful. The fairways are hard as a rock you will be lucky to take any kind of divot.
