I am a novice golfer, but while visiting family in ID we tried this course and we all had a great time! My family in ID golf alot and they thought the course was challenging as well. Great atmosphere to bring the family for food and drink afterwards in the clubhouse. Recommend it highly!!!

I totally concur with NavyGolfer. This is the worst public course I have ever played.I live here and drive 15 to 40 miles away to play somewhere else for nearly the same price an twice the course. The city lets the "assc" control it and it shows.(Good enough for them) Too bad the city council doesn't realize if they would put some money into the course there would be a profitable return.

I guess you had to do something with that extra airport property

I played in a scramble out here, and wasn't as frustrated with the rampant cheating as I was the deplorable conditions of the course, the brutal walk from "clubhouse" to the first tee, then from the 5th green to the 6th tee. Both due to the fact that an actual runway bisects the course. If you are one of those golfers that has a checklist like "be the first one on the course someday" and "be the last one off" and "play golf on a course with a runway" well this one is for you. Don't expect to ride if there are more than two other people on the course though. I think there were a total five carts working. Not that it's a tough walk, except for the runway. The greens were sandy, the fairways were sandy, the bunkers were grassy and there was no water in the ponds. Oh, and the 438yds par 5 is the eagle opportunity you've been waiting for. driver 6-iron for my group (both my shots). There is some good scenery, but in this area everyone has nice scenery. If you're in Boise and want to drive a little to a small course, try Scotch Pines, they have a runway too, but they also have a nice course.
