Course Reviews

Great value for a great course! Senior discount on Mon & Wed. Great food in the grill. Very friendly staff.

I travel alot for business and try to play as much as possible on muni's and public courses and can't stop gushing to everyone I work with about this beautiful PUBLIC golf course. I played on a cool May evening, cost under $20 after 6 pm and there were no crowds only a few students playing for next to nothing $. I can't wait to get back to Tallahassee to play this course again.

Course is always in great shape Greens roll fast.... great staff. now the bad.. avoid on weekends. Some of the slowest players on the planet play this course... evidently every weekend. a 5 hour round is the norm. Course rangers all over the place, sitting under trees , watching the groups trudge along. Some people , this will not bother, so this is just a fore warning on the slow play

The Seminole course is a well maintained, excellent golf facility. The clubhouse is first classIt is the home of the FSU Golf Team. I played the course 15 years ago before it was remodled. The remodeling changes are spectacular. I am writing this in mid February and right mow the course is beautiful.
The remodling included a reworking of the greens, which (unfortunately for high handicappers) greens that are now rolling, fast and hard to read. Fortunately for everyone, they are now soft and hold approach shots very well. They are however, like the greens at Agusta National. Even the pros have trouble there. This helps the serious players and especially the FSU Golf Team prepare for consitions they will face on the
tours.

Slicer82 does not know what he is talking about...Or he/she just plain cannot putt. The greens at Seminole Golf Course are although very tough, but very nice as well. During the summer is when they punch the greens the most to let water down to the roots. After summer is over, this golf course looks and plays great. For the quality of the course the prices are very reasonable and if you are ever stopping through Tallahassee, I highly recommend playing here.

Seminole heaven

The pro shop has more Noles gear then you can shake a stick at. The golf course itself is a sideshow. The first time I played here I thought the greens were punched. Then I played it again at another time of the year and I discovered that's just the way it is. The greens are like concrete. Why, I have no idea. It's not all that much fun, especially when not one putt rolls true. Too frustrating to consider playing on a normal basis, and they just don't water the grass enough here to take this place seriously. It's actually not all that cheap to play here anymore, and that is about all you need to know.
