Should be renamed 'Tired'. Poor organisation saw about 15 people on 1st tee. Starter most rude and miserable man I have ever met. Couple we were matched up with were a nightmare, looking for BOTH of their balls ever hole! Should be about $10 at most.

Don't get how anyone could not love this course. Its Great, It's may get busy sometimes but that's because umm it's great. People complain about being busy,I would be scared if it wasn't. BTW New ownership and Palmer is in charge of course now. Yeeeaahhh ,

I have played The Tides a few times now. Every time I have been there the sand traps were raked, the fairways are beautiful, and the greens are great. The staff is amazing. Clearly a few of you are rating the wrong course. The Tides is not located "in the ghetto of Tampa". It is in Seminole. An upscale community. I will be playing the Tides many times more, and suggest that you all do the same. I give it 5 stars!

Not as bad as some of the reviews, but the website has some photoshopping going on as the water is nowhere near blue in color. There are some tight areas and sometimes you get backed up because people don't understand 'ready golf' as a concept. The course is fun to play but be prepared to slather on bug dope after hole number 11 or you'll think you were in an Off! commercial. Internet coupons are the way to go here. Free to sign up and decent rates esp. in the afternoon.

wake up tidessuck, the greens were areated a week before, the pro is not there on sunday so your a liar.... Bet you didnt break 100 and lost 15 balls which is easy to do hear as water comes in play on all but 2 holes. This is the best value in the tampa bay area. Yes there are better courses but for the money I will play the Tides any day.

I play this course for the chellege of the greens. There is not an green that's flat. It's a must you know your club distance to stick the flight of the ball to the green. As for of the complaints I've read about this course...TRY TO LIMIT YOUR DAMN ALCOHOL INTAKE. You need alittle mind control to play this course. There is not one time I came in to play where I was greeted with rude people working here.Just because you had a bad round/alcohol intake don't blame the course. You must be drunk not to see the scenery.Give this course another try.BUT NOT TOO MUCH DRINKING.You will have a much better time and round.

I have only been to Fl once and this was my Fl golf experience.I thought it was very scenic, staff was friendly for being an obvious tourist.Ended up playing with nice couple from my home area ironically. My only complaint would be very wet!!

I am 21 years old, and am currently in my 3rd year of playing collegiate golf. I have played many of the world's greatest courses, and also some of it's worst (I live in South Dakota).

I can safely say that The Tides is the worst golf course I have ever played-bar none. There are very few experiences in my entire life that are as painful as playing this course. I am physically hurt because of this. It was so bad, I am currently consulting my lawyer as to the grounds to sue this course.

Please, if you are thinking of playing this course, don't. Take the $60 you would've spent, and go pay some homeless person to punch you in the face. I assure you it will be more pleasurable than putting on these "greens". I say "greens" because I really have no idea where the fairway (or rough or weed patch or whatever the heck it was)ended and the green began.

If you want to avoid the thousands of dollars you will pay in psychiatric help, then avoid this course at all costs.

The people were nice, though.

This course is a fun course to play, although it is not always in the best condition and usually backs up on the tee boxes. There are a couple of fun holes, but the layout is very tight and it seems like everyone is crawling all over each other. The 1st and 10th tees provide a nice elevated view down each fairway, and really is the reason why I enjoy this course as much as I do. The staff is alright, depending on the day and who is working inside the ProShop. The course sits right along the inter-coastal waterway and provides minimal views from a couple of the tee boxes, but other than that you would never know you are next to water. The only other thing is that the course does not have the best drainage, so if playing during the rain or the day after you may encounter alot of mud and soft fairways.

I was looking forward to playing this course but was very disappointed. Having rung up in the morning to arrange a tee off and told them we needed to hire clubs, we got to the course only to find they had recorded a different tee time to the one they had told me, and they had run out of hire clubs and the hastily put together array of clubs was not good. The course was very crowded and it took an age to complete the round. Poor layout leaves you trying to chip to the green on the 14th with golfers teeing off from the 15th and 17th in very close proximity. Not a bad course, but not a good experience for me.

We thought The Tides was great! We loved the scenic views of the water most of all. The greens were fantastic. (I made several long puts) We were thrilled by the amount of wildlife that we saw...raccoons, spoonbills, osprey, herons, rabbits, and we even saw dolphins near shore while standing on the #12 tee. Not sure what tree the previous person was talking about unless one were to go left on the first hole. I thought that was the point of golf, you miss the trees/bunkers/ponds? We really liked The Tides. This was the best value we played on in the area! Staff was great! We will be back to play again!

Tides needs major groundskeeping work, greens as bad as they come

Good location and reasonably priced, but not worth it. Trees are everywhere (in the fairways) and bunkers are packed hard earth. Too bad its such a goat-path!
