We played the Deltona Club on a deal purchased through which included 2 rounds with cart, range balls, lunch and drinks. Customer service was great and the course was in excellent condition. Unlike most flat swampy Florida courses, The Deltona Club offers rolling hills and elevations, sprawling bunkers called waster areas and large undulating greens to add a real challenge to putting. We had a terrific time and will return again. Pics are posted on my FACEBOOK page here:!/media/set/?set=a.10151029974606426.425561.692206425&type=3

It was in poor shape when we played this summer, a ton of sand bunkers on every hole i seemed.

I hated this course and I am somewhat forgiving. The bunkers (of which there are many) are a complete mess. Huge amounts of dense weeds growning in and all around them make for very bad conditions. I actually lost 3 balls during my round and all were lost in bunkers! How does that happen? Way too many weeds and mess that's how. Also, two holes are directly next to the driving range, so those two were littered with range balls. I spent 5 minutes searching through them to find my ball on one hole. I will never, never, never go back.

This my favorite course to play in Central Florida. I have played here about 8 times in the last six months. I tell all my friends it is resort quality at a public course price. Overseeding would help in the winter. It got pretty brown for a a while on the fairways and tee boxes, but the greens were always in great shape. Highly Recommend to anyone looking for a challenging course at a fair price.

I've played here ten times during the last two months. Best value with-in 20 miles. The Course has come a long way since the bad weather of last winter. The greens have been over-seeded and rolling smooth and true. I would play here every day if I could.

Played 3/27/10. Great layout! Real challenging! Lots of big hills, elevated tees and greens and LOTS of sand! We paid $45 which might have been $5-$10 too much. The course definitely needs some more maintenance. It still plays good but needs work to rationalize those fees. Greens were still a little brown from all the frost we had this winter, but they were starting to come back. The same with the fairways, hard packed bermuda grass. Obviously they couldn't afford to overseed. Putting was pretty true still. I look forward to coming back in the summer after all the grass has come back, and the peak season rates go to summer rates. This course has potential to be a real gem if the can afford to maintain it in the future. The amenities were so-so. The clubhouse is a "manufactured housing" style building which I can assume is temporary with a small food counter and a few tables setup for a dining area. Pro shop is stocked pretty good with the stuff you need to buy at the last minute. Staff was great! Overall a 6.5 out of a 10.

This course is great, and my favorite, I play there once a week and its amazing. $22 after 2pm for unlimited holes is a great deal way better than Southridge which is $20 for unlimited, only because Deltona has such a bigger and better course. The best part is if you're 16 years old, with or without a license you are able to get a cart. The staff is also very friendly with an awesome proshop.

I agree with you Mouse. We got screwed, but for the $30 we spend to play at Deltona it's still cheaper than Sandridge A.K.A. (Southridge).Deltona has got a good staff. Nathan and the pro shop employee's and a good grounds crew, except for some of their pin placements could be better.Granted I would like it to be $20 but it's not. I'll be playing Deltona twice a month for the next two years God willing and enjoy it.Still need real food though.

Look, I know alot of us have been scammed by this Golf Smart company, but i have to say. I am a fully tattooed tattoo studio owner from DeLand who has played this course from the day it opened. I to was scammed by the idiot representing the company Golf Smart, they were not representitives of Deltona Hills G.C.. I am appaled by the way i see players in the clubhouse yelling and raising hell with Nathan and his staff. This is ignorant and un acceptable behaviour, be glad you get to play on a course of this caliber for $30 dollars. I agree that was not our deal but for those of you who want to get in on the class action lawsuit against Golf smart look at the top of these reviews to Jim with his number, but until then lay off the employees of Deltona Hills G.C., and stop playing your rounds off the card because the more you play, the more they will say you acceptd the user fee change for that long so whats the deal. If you unhappy that bad then sue, if not, shut up and go play a round on one of the most beautiful courses around.

Our company was approached during a promotion by Golfsmart, a hired representitive of Deltona Club, to purchase a "golf card" for $599 that allowed a 4-some to play 2 times a month for 2 years. In the agreement, we were informed a $20 user fee would be charges "per player" at each round. After 6 weeks, the Deltona Club increased the "user fee" 50% to $30. Their explanation to this increase is "we have the right to do whatever we want". Although the golf course is great, the ownership and management is crooked and corrupt. they raised our agreed upon "user fee" BUT lowered their daily rate fee for walk-ins. A law suit is in the works. Anyone else who has purchased this "card" and is also furious, call me at 407-461-8862.

This course is very difficult, but I enjoyed playing along my brother and 2 nephews. The course is under renovations, but once it is completed it should be a dandy. Will play it again. Very challenging.

This course was awesome about 5 years ago. Semi-private and old members started dieing off and in the summers they just let it go since most were snow birds. They offered a summer membership with no initiation fee of restaurant minimums and lot a lot of members over that one, including myself. Once that happened this course went completely downhill. New ownership bought the course from the members and it is currently under construction. This is one of the best lay-outs in central Florida and has a ton of elevation changes. You will feel like you are playing in Colorado with all of the hills and pine trees. I can't wait for the course to open again. You will not be disappointed as they completely bulldozed the entire course, put in all new irrigation and are re-building all of the greens and tee boxes. This is going to be the premier lay-out in the area once complete. This is a true golfer's club. Clubhouse is nice and food is good but it is like stepping back in time. No frills, just clean and is all about the golf here. Not sure if they are renovating the inside of the clubhouse but there is really no need. last i heard, they are looking to open in early March of 2008.

fun course

the greens are very bumpy, cant make many putts on this. If the greens were smooth this would be a great course.

Deltona Hills Golf Course

The front nine are in pretty nice condition but the back nine need some work. This course has recently been purchased and the plan is to shut down in or around May, build some condo's toward the back of the course and completely resow all the grass on the course, remove all hurricane debris and redesign a few of the holes to accomodate the condo project. They are, however, planning to remove the only water hazard on the course and add more bunkers and native Florida landscape. This course has very good potential and because of the wide fairways and long par 5's with a huge bunker on hole #7 it is a fun course to play for any skill level.
