Played this course for the first time this morning and it was horrible! I will never return to this course! The tee boxes were dirt and the fairways were a mixture of weeds and dirt. And the greens were absolutely AWFUL! They were composed of brown (completely dead) grass and so much bare dirt that they were more like crummy tee boxes than a green. The green on their "signature" 14th hole was so bad that the hole was moved to what was supposed to be the fairway in front of the green (again, just dirt and weeds) and a white circle was painted around the flag. The course layout could be nice if it was taken care of but it just has not been maintained at all! I am not generally critical of courses because I know that it takes a lot to maintain a course and a course cannot be in tip-top shape all of the time but this course was the worst I have ever seen! And for $29 per person, I am extremely disappointed! DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY!!! I would not pay $5 to play this course again!!!

Don't waste your money playing this course. The greens are absolutely terrible. The greens either have big patches where the grass has died and you have to putt through dirt, or there are patches of weeds on the green. The "sand traps" don't even have sand in them; they are made up entirely of black dirt. The fairways, like the greens have a wide variety of different weeds and types of grasses growing everywhere. There is no grass on the tee boxes. This course only charges $19 after 3:00 and you are still getting ripped off. Somebody would have to pay me to play this course again. Not to mention the fact that the members regularly play in fivesomes with absolute disregard for the other paying golfers. If you enjoy four and half hour rounds at one of the worst courses you could possibly play, then this course is for you.

Nice Course, stay on the fairways or you will likely be behind oak trees that are very big. Very playable, greay value and friendly staff.

Still very nice, like it was in February for David. Best public course in the Gainesville area and certainly worth the extra drive for value. Best fish sandwich served to me in a long time. Enjoyed it enough to play a second round alone. Try to hit their M-Tu-Th $100 foursome, which includes the round, cart, and lunch.

I like playing this course. Fairways are in great shape and greens are also good. Some sand traps have been allowed to overgrow with grass, but most are in good shape. There are 2 true dog-legs, and several holes with minor "twists". Several water holes, but only one that is at all menacing. The people are friendly, and the other players seem to move along at a nice clip...not much waiting to hit.
