Wolf Run Golf Course , Aurora, IL

Wolf Run is nice in the Spring, dry and hard in the summer, and windy and cold in the fall. However, there is a nice little practice green, and driving range next door (behind the church) and a couple of holes where you get to pull out the Big Stick. #16 in particular. It's a long boy, but with a nice drive and a good approach shot, you can easily reach the green in 3. Be careful though, because if you go long, your ball will sail over the fence and end up on the railroad tracks! Carts are well maintained, and the staff is really friendly. John is there with Bubba the wonder dog, and you can spot Roger out maintaining the course. Not many mature trees, so keep your drive LOW on really windy days. Don't worry, because of a lack of irrigation, you'll get a decent roll on most days. Nice course, and easy on the wallet. The driving range is open all the time, and you pay on the honor system. Remember, I said it's behind a church! LOL! Go on over and have a good time!
