I'm an intermediate, and I shot a 103 today. 5 bogeys and 1 par today, and 7 was my highest score number(s). I always walk, and I walked this course too. In hindsight, I think I would get a cart next time. It's pretty long and hilly. The greens were in great condition, the entire course was green and lush (in the middle of summer!) The staff was fast and friendly (I walked on without any reservation) I was paired up with 3 women who were par/bogey machines! They were good and kept me moving!! ...and they were in carts!! Play was kinda slow, there was a 5-some in front of us but nobody behind us. Took 5 hours to do 18 on a monday from noon til 5pm. This course was nicer than I expected after reading some of the reviews on here before I went. It is a nice course in really good condition. The shortest par 3 is like 150 yds. Their par 3s are all long par 3s. Not really any easy no brainer holes anywhere on this course. They're all challenging.

I give this course a one of five. I base that on 5 things. The layout, which is good. The customer service, horrible, the pace of play, horrible, the greens, horrible, and the course maint., is avg.
I went to play there and played a good round in 4 and a half hours. Then i went back, and took an hour and a half to get through 4 holes with two groups on the 5th tee. It would of been a six hour round. After the fourth i went in to get a raincheck, and they wouldnt give me a raincheck!
I figured they would rather have me tell 50 of my friends and the internet that to avoid this play then make one customer happy. That in my mind, is the worst customer service ever. Who wants to play 6 hour rounds. Oh and by the way, im not a crappy golfer that complains, i love golf and carry a +1.0 handicap. This place can burn down for all i care. or rather, keep it open to the people that enjoy 6 hour rounds!

The only problem with this course is that they allow fivesomes. This made the pace of play very very slow. We ended up passing a group of 5 that was in front of us, and had we not done this, there is no way we would have completed 18 before nightfall. The greens were perfect, and the course is fun. There are a lot of people who walk the course and do not fill there divots, so there are holes all over the fairway. La Mirada Manager, please put an end to the fivesomes......

i live 3 miles away from this course but i try to avoid this course at any cost. but i get to go sometimes. :(

the driving range is always full at night.

if you need to kill time on purpose and enjoy slow pace play, this is the perfect course.

Do not play this course! We had a fivesome in front of us, a fivesome behind us and they grouped us into a fivesome. It took us almost 6 hours to play the 18 holes. The ambassador did nothing to increase the pace of the game. They simply do not care after you paid the green fee. The course also is really not that good either, greens were poorly maintained, you could smell sewage on several holes. Not a good golf experience at all.

even though I gave most categories a two star it's actually not that bad, agreed it can be a long play on weekends but the hilly terrain makes it more interesting than most So.Cal flat courses, the solution is to get the earliest tee time possible

Avoid this course all cost on the weekends. It will take over 5 hours to play with course. The let fivesome after fivesome tee off back to back. Crowded with old slow playing Korean men (I'm Korean so don't say it's racist) who are playing for money so they mark every three foot putts.
