Very nice course. Extremely good value. Conditions are are great and the course was in great shape.

I've played here when it was still a military-only course, when it including a shack that was used as a pro shop, complete with a soldier in fatigues! The course's quality remains unchanged! Although it costs more to play then most, you get your money's worth here. My favorite memory here was played a hole which bordered the airstrip and watching a huge (and loud) jet land next to us about 1000 yards away!

good flat challenging course. lots of water hazards. good layout and fun to play. Would be better if price wasn't so high.

Very well maintained course in the heart of Southern California. Extremely good value especially for military personnel. Conditions are almost always outstanding.
Pace of play can be slow at times but for overall value and quality the Destroyer Course is very tough to beat!

This course has become my home course since I live about 5 minutes away from it. I absolutely LOVE it! Extremely well maintained and just an overall pleasure to play. Lovely group of staff members and for the money, hands down the best course in So Cal!!! I play it at least once a week and always look forward to playing it again and again. Best course around!! A++++

The finest military course I've ever played...and I've played most of 'em! Beats any of the surrounding public or resort courses hands down. Tough layout with excellent manicured greens and fairways. Try it...you'll love it!

Apparently Navy Golf Club has apologized to Tiger Woods for the behavior he was exposed to while playing there as a youth.

"Part of the problem was some of the members didn't want a young kid running around the place but it was also because of the colour of his skin," said Scott vonEps, who worked in the pro shop at Navy Golf Club.

The club issued an official apology saying:

"It's just a dark stain on the history of this place that I want to go away," head professional Joe Grohman says. "We want Tiger to know that we are sorry, that we love him and want him to come home."
