The 18-hole "Carmel Valley Ranch" course at the Carmel Valley Ranch facility in Carmel, California features 6,234 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. Designed by Pete Dye, ASGCA/(R) Gene Bates, the Carmel Valley Ranch golf course opened in 1980. Peter McMahon manages the course as the General Manager.

When I first arrived, the course looked to be flat and boring. I could not have been more wrong. It is a wonderful course. It does start out rather simple but, it builds and builds like a symphony starting with just a flute and then build into a crescendo as the day goes on and the elevations change. It is terrific Pete Dye design and kept in excellent condition. Just fun and beauty with wonderful twist and turns. Highly recommended.

Beautiful course with some amazing views and tee shots from the tips. Don’t need to muscle any shots due to the shorter length of the course. Find the fairway on the 18th to solidify your round! The starter Jack is legendary with his hospitality! Super friendly staff all around. Will be back!
