I played this course in Jan 2011. 70 degrees, no wind. Perfect day. Overall no issues to be concerned about and as long as it is a reasonable price 25-40$ this is a fine course. Note this is an unconventional layout. It has short dog legs that you can drive through. This track teaches course management, this course forces you to hit 5 irons and 3w off the tee box. Many ways to score low here. Few blind tee shots. It is not a typical city course, so give it a shot, I do recommend it as long as it is under under $40. It plays fine at 25-35$

It's a pleasant, sporty little course, but be sure to be hitting your balls straight. An incredibly easy course for a high handicapper to score well on if he/she isn't spraying too much. Numerous short par 4's and 5's easily reachable in regulation even if you have very modest length off the tee. Only the 10th hole (par 4) and several long par 3's are unreachable in regulation by the avg. weekend golfer. Probably not a course to play a great deal as it will mess up swing rythym and mechanics dealing with such short, tight holes constantly. Longer hitters can just leave the driver in the bag the whole round, in fact. Bottom line: if your short game is in good shape and you don't stray, you'll score very well on this course.

Great Course, great value. Narrow fairways, enjoyed plaing Debell Golf Course. Take extra balls, might lose them in the rough. Challenging

Really great place to play. I'm a new golfer and had a hard time keeping the ball on the course, but I saw some much more experienced golfers with the same problem. The bad news is you'll lose some balls. The good news is that if you look hard enough, you'll find twice as many as you lost! Some tough doglegs and uphill drives. Nice scenery and the grounds are well taken care of. The clubhouse leaves something to be desired, but they'll have a new one in 2008. Would love to play again.

Difficult course

Difficult course due to tight fairways and doglegs. You must be able to sculpt yours shots and control your drives off the tee or else you'll lose several sleeves of balls due to all the hillsides and thick brush, trees, and gulleys. The greens were very thick and wet, and this was during the day so it was hard to read your putting speeds right. Overall a good value. If you're looking for someone polite in the proshop, look for David. Very personable and welcoming.

De Bell is GREAT!

Incredible value and scenery in the hills of Burbank? YES! De Bell is pretty and feels very away from Los Angeles, but it is so close a drive and so cheap! ...and the course is challenging, shotmaker style, as it winds through the mountainside. Tons of fun...thanks, De Bell. Check out their newly renovated web site at

yeah, I don't really know why people aren't friendly Burbank that bad a place to work?

This course is the toughest I've played

After playing a round here, Encino or Balboa will seem like a piece of cake.

Debell Golf course

I generally have a pretty good opinion of this course. I play it at least once a week. Nice course with a great price and very friendly 'regular' golfers. The one thing I do NOT like about this course is the service. The service from the proshop, cart kids and the snackbar are all absolutely TERRIBLE. The proshop is unfriendly and seem to forget that we are the paying customer and are ultimately the reason they have a job there.

One bright spot happened yesterday at the range. There was a 'bored' instructor there that basically picked a guy out of the crowd to give him a free lesson.
