The Refuge

I played this golf course from the Jade Tees, and from here the distance is fair and very challenging, but fun. My wife is a 24 and played the Lavender tees. I am a 12, and my brother that played with us is a 10. The course was in great shape, the greens rolled very well and the bunkers were fair to play out of. The overall beauty was spectacular. The lakes and creeks were perfect in enhancing the golf course. I thought that the holes were laid out and framed nicely to help a golfer playing it for the first time; to figure out from the tee exactly how to play the hole. The wind was not a factor for us except for on a few holes this particular day. The fairways were generous and made teeing it up fun and very rewarding. Do not get into the desert....you will pay the price from there. The staff was exceptional, the practice facilities very nice and the bar and restaurant just perfect. I can't wait to get back to The Refuge for my next round of golf. Thank you Jim McElhaney and staff for a memorable day of golf and relaxation. Mr. Palmer understands the the game of golf and the ability to make it fun for all ages, genders and abilities. A+
