This is very tight course with an older style layout. Not as long as some other courses in the area, but very challenging if you cant keep it straight off the tee. Nicely maintained and they had the best greens in the area this year. That includes some of teh more exclusive clubs around. Good deal with fee/cart. Amenities were kind of basic, but service was very friendly. My group will definitely be back.

well the links at tuscaloosa is my home course the course is very tight close together but i hold the course record there a 63 the greens are very bad and slow they haVE not matured yet but im just a beast so i can play golf on any kind of corse and it plays very short from the tips

A great improvement over the old course. Pace of play was great.

The course is real tight but is not a long course. The greens are not matured and are real hard. You have to pitch into the greens short and not shoot at the flags or it will bounce over. There are a couple of holes which were not planned very well (2,8,and 17)& (1,18, and 9) where someone is gonna get killed because they all converge together. It is ceratin that the builders were not concerned about the golf but only about making money off the apartments. Dont pay the 35 bucks to play here, they have over advertised the affordable memberships as to where every person who thinks they can play golf even a little (hence the danger on the course)plays and they also let the apartment residents (mainly college kids) play for cheap. These people dont do anything except cause slow play, tear up the course and the golf carts!! Without a doubt this course has got to be the busiest in the state.

Very short and very tight. Not much room for error on the front 9. Errant shots are easily lost in the woods. The back 9 is a little more wide open. Good value and friendly service from the staff.

Decent value. The course is ridiculously tight, though. Because the apartment renters can play free, there are a TON of new golfers on the course. With the tightness, you will have to duck several times as a result.

Renovation of the Mimosa course, which was in bad shape. The new course is still fairly raw, but a significant improvement. Major complaint is that it is very tight. Several greens are very near tee boxes, leading to several chances to get hit. Should be a nice course when it matures more.

This place has actually closed down and is being reopened under the name "The Links of Tuscaloosa" and is supposed to be really nice. I can't wait to see how it looks in August of '07.
