Nice layout, nice scenery, quiet and peaceful. BUT - The greens were horrible, uneven and very bumpy. For the cost $50 , it was NOT a good deal and will NOT be going back.

Great Course, open fairways, great wildlife. We saw hawks and gators.

fun course to play for the average golfer. don't expect fast play or fast greens. the greens are overseeded in the winter and are very slow. however, this allows you to attack the greens with longer clubs. nice state park scenery. you may even see an alligator near the banks of one of the ponds.

Course had a beautiful layout and was in pretty good shape. The greens, however, were some of the slowest I've ever putted on. A decent value considering how expensive some of the courses in the area are, but the slowness of the greens made it difficult to make a putt outside of 10 feet.

This is an average course. The fairways are wide and in decent shape. The greens are small and fairly slow. There is almost no water in play to speak of. The only real challenges are the large bunkers guarding the greens and the doglegs. Probably not worth $44.

I like the wide fairways, with minimal hazards. Greens are small, very spongy and slow. Hard to gauge distances as there are very few sprinkler heads, making it confusing for a first timer. Not as nice as most in the area, but a good bargain for the price.

Overall a great course, beautiful scenery and well maintained. An occasional excessively wet spot on a green or in a fairway, but played on a weekend after a week of frequent rain. No marshal to speed up play but, was a pleasurable round of golf and would recommend to anyone.

Reviewed May 30, 2008

The course was bare. Needed to be overseeded. The greens were mushy and mossy. There was no Marshall on the course to control pace of play. This course at best was worth 25.00. I was very disappointed in the conditioon of the course to be a state course. Will not play here again.

Greens and tee boxes are in wonderful condition ... very well maintained course. Front nine was a little more challenging than the back 9. In general, a fun time and nice challenge for the average golfer. Current prices are $44 per round (not $42).
