This has turned into a great course with firm greens, well tended traps and bunkers, and a challenging layout. Constantly upgrading, good food and a great staff.
While course not in top notch shape- it is great improvement when last played a few years ago. Nice layout and very friendly staff all the way around. It is the best option in the Pell City area. I look forward to seeing on going improvements as obvious the current management cares.
Course in TERRIBLE shape - 3 greens closed, the rest unputtable - obvious lack of funds and maintenance - we were here 5 years ago and it was horrible - now it is worse. Head pro/owner is a great guy but the course is in such disrepair it would take years and TONS of money to refurbish it. I have probably played 200 different golf courses - this is the worst I have ever played. The Alpine resort is equally as bad - dated, unkempt condos with no amenities - truly a waste of money to come here - stay in Birmingham and play The Trail courses .
Nice course, but was quoted a price of $29 including lunch; arrived at course and it was $39 without lunch. I value honor above all else, so I won't play this course again.
