Swing Speed Bands Used

Our target swing speeds for ball testing are 93-97 mph for driver, 84-86 mph for 7-iron, and 55-57 mph for our 50-yard test. We accept small outliers on shots where all other variables meet the highest standards. These are the swing speed ranges we accepted for this test:

  • Driver: 92-95 MPH
  • 7-Iron: 84-86 MPH
  • 50-Yard: 56-59 MPH

Kirkland Signature Performance+ Performance Notes

In our testing, the Kirkland Signature Performance+ struggled to keep up with premium-priced balls in one major category: ball speed. Slower ball speeds created below-average distances in all three areas of our testing. Aside from being a few yards shorter through the bag, the Performance+ was competitive with balls that cost close to three-times as much, with competitive spin and launch characteristics, plus strong showings for stopping power, accuracy and consistency.
