GolfForever Review: 5 Takeaways After 8 Weeks of Training
8 weeks in to using GolfForever, here are my top takeaways

Not every golfer can emulate what Scottie Scheffler does on the course, be we can all train the way he does off of it.
Scheffler, the most dominant men’s golfer of this decade thus far, is the face of GolfForever. The golf-specific fitness program is designed to improve your body in a way that supports better golf. That means better balance, posture, core strength, flexibility, range of motion, rotational power, and injury prevention.
Those are a lot of promises, and GolfForever does not come cheap, so I tested it out for eight weeks to find out what kind of results GolfForever can deliver. Here are my top five takeaways after eight weeks of training with GolfForever.

Rollback Busters: Proven Golf Training Aids for More Distance
1. My First Noticeable Improvements Were Balance and Posture
If you're curious about the quickest gains you can expect from GolfForever, in my experience, it’s balance and posture.
Just about every GolfForever workout I’ve done uses the resistance bands. Because you’re always fighting that resistance, almost every GolfForever exercise trains balance.
Many of the exercises require controlled movements, a staggered stance, and some sort of rotation. One advantage of using the resistance bands with GolfForever is that you can choose the perfect amount of resistance for your abilities by moving closer to or farther from where it’s anchored.
It’s no coincidence that balance is the first improvement I noticed from GolfForever. From perfect balance after a nice tee shot to just improved balance during day-to-day activities, my balance improved quickly from GolfForever.
Posture also improved for me almost immediately. Some of the earliest GolfForever exercises reinforced proper posture, where a club can touch the upper, lower, and middle of your back simultaneously. GolfForever builds on that foundation by putting you in golf-like posture for several exercises in most workouts.
Taking the feel of that perfectly aligned spine (not slumped) into so many exercises improved my posture on the golf course almost immediately.
With improved balance and posture, I’ve noticed more consistency from my full swing on the golf course.
2. Swing Speed and Distance
I approached swing speed and distance as more of a side-effect of the GolfForever training than a main objective. If all you want to do is hit the ball farther, I think there are more efficient tools for accomplishing that. However, if you want to strengthen your muscles and attributes that generate power in the golf swing – like your legs, core, arms, shoulders, balance, flexibility, and rotational power – then GolfForever is your best bet.
I don’t have great data on whether or not I gained swing speed or distance from GolfForever because I started using it right after a lengthy speed training regimen, and while using GolfForever, I was forced to change drivers because ole faithful bit the dust.
Still, I can offer some takeaways in this area.
The GolfForever workouts focus on parts of your body and movements that, when improved, lead to increased swing speed and distance.
My stats show that I’m hitting the ball a few yards farther now than when I started the program, but there are too many other moving parts for me to report that’s solely a result of GolfForever. I will say, however, that it feels easier to generate power off the tee than it has in the past, and I do so more consistently.
3. The GolfForever User Experience is Excellent
The concept of building a golf-specific fitness platform that accommodates any age, skill level, and body type is no easy task. But you’d never know it from getting started with GolfForever and using it regularly.
Once you answer a few quick questions to get started, GolfForever tailors a program to your goals, abilities, and the equipment at your disposal.
From there, the app is super easy to use, and GolfForever even helps you cast the workouts to a smart TV with the push of a button.
Even though I’ve probably never done 90% of the exercises before in my life, the workouts and instructors are easy to follow.
Instead of prescribing a set schedule to follow, GolfForever uses a weekly point system, which I found very effective. Most workouts are worth eight points, and daily sessions contain two workouts, so 16 points worth of work. Then you get bonus points for completing the prescribed workouts in each of the three categories (fundamentals, rotational power, and injury prevention, for example) each week. Shoot for 70 or more points per week, and you know you’re making progress towards your goals.
This point system really helped me plan out my workouts and off days each week.
4. Plan for 35-45 Minutes Per Workout
The one thing I’ve struggled with so far from GolfForever is that the workouts typically take 35-45 minutes. Yes, that’s a great amount of time for a complete workout, but if you think you’re simply going to squeeze this into your day without cutting something else out, you might struggle.
It didn’t take me long to realize that I needed to build my workouts into my weekly schedule, rather than just try to find time to make it happen.
Each 35-45 minute workout is comprised of two components, and if you’re pressed for time, you can always do individual workouts one component at a time, but GolfForever recommends doing them both in one session, so I tried to do that as much as possible.
This is not a complaint – after all, if you want to enjoy the gains, you have to put in the work – it’s simply a piece of advice for busy people considering adding GolfForever to their schedule.
5. GolfForever Pros, Cons, and Value
At $199 up front and $199 per year after the first year, GolfForever is certainly a commitment. It’s worth evaluating the pros and cons before jumping in.
Pros:
- Workout program tailored to your goals and abilities
- Works golf-specific muscles and movements
- Emphasis balance, posture, flexibility, range of motion, rotational power, injury prevention, and more golf-specific targets
- The app is easy to navigate
- The apparatus is user-friendly
- Most workouts are easy to follow
Cons:
- Typical cost includes $199 for the equipment plus a $199 annual subscription after the first year
- Not ideal for tight spaces; moderate or more open space is needed for many of the exercises
- For optimal benefits, busy people may have to cut something else out of their schedule
To evaluate the value, let’s compare the cost to the alternatives. If you’re looking for a golf-specific fitness and training program that builds a body that supports the golf swing, GolfForever’s pricing is competitive. For example, here are a couple of alternatives:
- Fit For Golf: $200-$240/year + equipment
- DRVN: $400-$500 for lifetime access
Those costs seemed high to me at first, but when I compared them to working one-on-one with a golf fitness specialist or a personal trainer, that put the value into perspective. As they say, it’s all relative.
If you want instruction from professionals in a program that’s designed to benefit your golf game and your overall health, that’s easy to use from home, then GolfForever is an excellent value.
Functional Golf Fitness
Until now, I’ve always viewed fitness as a vanity pursuit. My fitness goals were based on appearance. However, as my body has started to feel pains from golf and limitations in my swing, I’ve begun seeing fitness as a functional tool, and that’s where GolfForever can really help.
I don’t think you’ll get a sculpted body from checking off your GolfForever points quota each week, but you will see noticeable results. Better balance and posture. Better core strength. More power. Improved stamina and fewer pains. Improved flexibility and range of motion. Those are the functional improvements you can expect if you use GolfForever.
It didn’t take me long to notice the first gains, and after eight weeks, I noticed feeling more naturally powerful on the golf course, more consistent, and fewer aches and pains afterwards.
If you’re only looking for some quick distance gains on the course, there are easier ways to get those. But if you want to improve your body so it can support the movements golf demands, then GolfForever is a great tool.
