Does the Evnroll Z5cs Deliver Zero Torque Accuracy?
We tested the Evnroll Z5cs ZT putter on PUTTR to measure accuracy, speed control, and consistency

I don’t think golfers appreciate how much technology modern putters feature, and Evnroll’s zero torque putters are a prime example of that.
I tested the Evnroll Z5cs putter, which not only features a zero torque profile aimed at making accuracy automatic, but also has Evnroll’s signature SweetFace groove technology, designed to make distance control a breeze.
In other words, this putter is built for incredible accuracy and unmatched consistency. So how does all that tech actually perform? Here’s our complete Evnroll Z5cs review. After rolling 50 putts on a smart green, the data told a clear story about where this putter excels.
How We Tested the Evnroll Z5cs on PUTTR

To test the Evnroll Z5cs, I rolled 50 putts on the PUTTR smart green. This high-tech putting green gives precise feedback that goes way beyond makes and misses. Using PUTTR, we tracked exactly where made putts entered the cup and measured each putt’s speed as it approached the hole.
Using this data, I pinpointed the putter’s performance for speed, consistency, and accuracy.
The 50-putt test included 30 six-foot putts (18 center, 6 left-to-right, 6 right-to-left) to test accuracy, and 20 straight-on 10-foot putts to test speed control.
Before beginning our test, we calibrated the PUTTR to ensure a level putting surface and eliminate any potential accuracy bias. We did not begin our test until we confirmed that putts rolled straight from the center, left, and right start lines without any unintended break.

Evnroll ZERO Z1 Life-Tested Review
Accuracy Test: 6-Foot Putts
- Make Rate: 83%
- Avg. Entry Degree (makes): 15.7° off center
- Dead Center Makes: 40% of makes entered the cup within 5° of center
- Miss Bias: 80% Pull (missed right for left-handed tester)
- Unpredictable Misses: 3% (1 out of 30 putts)
Accuracy is one of the key selling points of any zero-torque putter, and the Evnroll Z5cs is no different. If you like the idea of the accuracy of a ZT putter with a fang, or winged mallet head, then the Z5cs is more or less exactly what you’re looking for.
In my accuracy test with the Z5cs, I made 25 out of 30 putts, or 83%. That’s not bad from six-feet, and I was also impressed that 40% of those makes went in the dead center of the cup, which we define as within five degrees either direction of center. That’s the middle 1/36th of the cup, pretty dead-on.
If there was any miss tendency to be extrapolated from those five errant putts, it’s worth noting that four of them were in the pull direction (to the right for a left-handed tester). Still, with so many putts pouring into the dead center, the Z5cs delivers the accuracy that zero torque shoppers are looking for.

The Best Zero Torque Putters
Distance Control Test: 10-Foot Putts
Average Speed: 113%
Putts in Playable Speed Window (90-110%): 65%
Speed Bias: 75% Fast
Severe Speed Misses (>20%): 5%
Distance control is always the last piece of the puzzle to click when I test a new putter. I’ve tested close to 10 zero torque putters so far, and rolled several more just for feel. Regardless of shape or shaft orientation, speed control takes time.
One of the benefits of any Evnroll putter is the SweetFace groove technology, which helps create an equal distance roll from a larger portion of the face. That technology is not only foundational to the brand, it’s the inspiration for the Evnroll logo. That, coupled with weights in the toe and heel to boost MOI, had my expectations set high for the Z5cs’s performance in the distance control test.
PUTTR measures speed as a percentage, with 100% representing ideal pace, anything above that is faster than perfect, and anything below is slower.
Using PUTTR from 10 feet, I focused strictly on rolling putts with neutral, repeatable speed. Most of my putts finished on the faster side of the “perfect” 100% speed, but everything stayed comfortably in the “circle of friendship.”
In fact, the extremes on both ends of the distance control test proved to be very forgiving. My slowest putt, and the two fastest from the distance control test, all found the bottom of the cup. In other words, all 20 putts in the 10-foot distance control test carried the right speed to find the bottom of the cup.
Look, Sound, Feel

Here's how the Evnroll Z5cs looks from the address position
For a mostly black and white putter, the Evnroll Z5cs is visually busy. Some high-contrast areas distracted my eye at address, although there are simple ways to reduce this noise.
The blue and white “Zero Torque” shaft sticker was certainly a distraction, but it peeled off without much resistance.
The high-contrast black and white grip on the Z5cs that I tested can also lure the eye, but you can elect an all black, or a red and white version of the same grip for no upcharge. If I could go back, I think I’d roll with a black grip for less contrast.
The white “Z” on the black face is subtly noticeable from address, and seems a little unnecessary.
The hosel mechanism that makes the loft and lie adjustable can also steal attention with its silver shine between black components.
Altogether, it was a bit much for me.
On the other hand, the alignment mechanism is effective. Two parallel lines the width of the ball run the length of the putter, with a simple alignment dot centered just behind the face. I found it easy to get set up to my target effectively.
At impact, the Z5cs passed the sound and feel test. It delivers a premium feel, as it should, with a matching sound. I felt confident accelerating through impact without worrying about losing control of the distance, which proved to be consistent in our speed control test.

Showing Its Fangs
On the surface, the appeal of the Evnroll Z5cs is it’s zero torque profile for accuracy and Enroll's foundational distance control technology. However, after testing it I found that the benefits go beyond that.
The Pinpoint hosel allows users to dial in their preferred lie and loft, along with many other specs, which is a big bonus that many other zero torque competitors can’t offer.
While the Z5cs isn’t the only fang-style zero-torque putter out there, it’s certainly a hard shape and profile combination to find, and one that the Z5cs pulls off exquisitely.
Overall, the Evnroll Z5cs delivers on its promises of precision and consistency, while giving zero torque shoppers an attractive shape to consider, making it a standout performer in the category.
