No golf product is immune to promising life-changing, or at least game-changing, benefits. Earlier this year, I tested a golf tee that’s built to produce longer and straighter shots. I think I can finally say I’ve seen it all. Now that I’ve tested the Copper Tech+ Golf Glove, that is.

What is the Copper Tech Golf Glove?

The Copper Tech glove is designed with copper compression technology, which is supposed to not only provide comfort, but also improve grip and joint support, allowing more golfers to play pain-free.

So does it work? Let’s dive in.

I tested the Copper Tech glove during multiple practice sessions and rounds on the golf course. I can’t tell you conclusively if the glove alleviated any joint pain. I didn’t experience any joint pain after playing or practicing with the Copper Tech glove, but I haven’t had joint pain when playing or practicing without it, either.

I can tell you, however, that even Copper Tech itself is open about the fact that it’s not the copper in the glove that provides joint support. It’s actually the compression.

While the copper element (no pun intended) is more for cultural symbolism, the gloves’ compression is intended to improve circulation, reduce swelling, and ease joint pain.

Compression ratings aren’t just for golf balls anymore. I digress.

The Copper Tech golf glove also has a silicone pad. This pad is easily the biggest difference between the Copper Tech glove and any other glove I’ve used. It more than fulfills its promise to be extra tacky. With this glove on, I felt like I could one-hand a slant pass from John Elway. It’s so tacky, in fact, that I wouldn’t even advise attempting a club twirl after a well-struck shot with it on. The moment the club touches the silicone, it’ll stop dead and drop to the ground. When dry, that is.

When the glove gets wet, it’s a different story. I tried testing the Copper Tech glove in pretty steady rain, but after hitting my opening tee shot and feeling how the glove reacted to the club when wet, it was clear that the grip performance suffered significantly. Copper Tech acknowledged the glove is designed for dry weather and plans to release an all-weather glove in the future.

If the Glove Fits

I can’t guarantee that the Copper Tech golf glove will cure your joint pain, but it’s a great glove regardless. It’s comfortable, durable, and provides the best connection to the club of any glove I’ve used. Plus, the magnetic ball marker is a nice touch.

Since many players report less joint pain when using it, and because it’s a quality glove regardless, I’d recommend giving it a try if joint pain is affecting your game.
