The 9 Best Golf Cart Fans to Survive Summer Rounds
Nine picks that'll keep you cool when the temperature climbs

A couple years ago I was playing in the Myrtle Beach World Amateur in late August. There was no breeze, high humidity and temps well into the 90s. I noticed several players in my senior division had these cordless fans clipped to their carts. That night, I jumped on Amazon and ordered my own.
Now, when it’s 90 degrees or more, I bring my fan out to the course (when I’m riding). If it’s windy, I don’t bother, because, well, it's already windy.
Fortunately, there are even more choices today than when I bought my portable fan. Some are better than others, and I do recommend a bungee cord to help secure them on the frame of the carts, even when they have a clip or a magnet.
Here’s a look at nine of our favorites:
A2C Golf Cart Fan
CHECK AMAZON
Size: 5.5 inches
Speeds: 4
Price: $30
If you’re looking for a fan that’s designed specifically for golf, the A2C Golf Cart fan fits the bill. It’s lightweight, has four speeds, and can last six hours on a single charge. More importantly it has a strong magnetic mount, just like many rangefinders and golf speakers.
I would still reinforce it with a cord of some kind after I mount it, but I like how simple and inexpensive this fan is. Plus, if you run out of power, you can always plug it in using the USB port in a golf cart to keep it running. That’s why it’s a great option for players who use a golf cart most of the time.
Off the course, it will easily mount to a truck bed, and lots of folks use these fans on cruise ships since they are easy to pack.
Ausic Magnetic Misting Fan
CHECK AMAZON
Size: 9.25 inches
Speeds: 3
Price: $31
The Ausic Magnetic Misting Fan adds a few more features, most importantly a misting component to help you cool off even more. And it’s a true mist that runs as long as the reservoir at the top has water. To help it last, you can set it to mist intermittently, or periodically turn the mister off.
It also has several different mounts, including a magnetic mount, which makes it great for golf carts. The three-speed fan rotates, and the LED light has two settings. With five-plus hours of life from the rechargeable battery, you can easily get through a round of golf.
A2C Cupholder Fan
CHECK AMAZON
Size: 7.5 inches
Speeds: 4
Price: $40
If you don’t want a clip-on fan, consider the A2C Cupholder Fan, which has an adjustable base that fits snugly into various sized cupholders. It has a telescoping arm for easy positioning, and a reinforced metal core helps keep it from wobbling too much.
As for the fan, it claims 9.5 hours of continuous operation on its highest of four speeds. It also can serve as a power bank for your phone or other devices, though the USB C cable for reverse charging is not included.
Bouisen 2-in-1 Fan
CHECK AMAZON
Size: 8.5 inches
Speeds: 4
Price: $41
Not only does the Bouisen have a magnetic mount, a mister, an LED light and four speeds, but it also comes with a water bottle to fill the reservoir, and a separate magnetic phone mount if you’re looking for a bundle package.
This rechargeable fan will last for at least 5 ½ hours on the highest speed with a full charge. In addition, it has a USB port, so you can charge the phone that you’re putting in the holder.
If you’re like many who use their phone for golf apps, this is a really nice added bonus.
SlenPet Clip Fan

CHECK AMAZON
Size: 8 inches
Speeds: 4
Price: $60
This is the most expensive fan on the list, and it’s also the golf fan I use. It’s quite generic looking actually. The brand name, SlenPet, doesn’t even appear on the fan. But it’s very reliable and hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down.
I actually keep it charged on my desk. Sometimes I put it on low when I’m working for a light breeze, and you can't even hear it at that speed.
On the course, however, I put it on its highest setting for the entire round, and it’s never come close to running out of juice. In fact, at the end of the round, two of the three lights that indicate charge are still on, suggesting it could easily go another 18 holes or more.
It comes with a clip that can be used on the front side rails of the cart, but I reinforce it with a bungee cord since riding over rough terrain or a broken cart path can dislodge it. It also has a hook, so you could hang it upside down somewhere if you had the opportunity. It also comes with an LED light, with three different brightness settings.
OhYes Jobsite Fan

CHECK AMAZON
Size: 9.4 inches
Speeds: 3
Price: $30
While the OhYes fan doesn’t have a battery, it is compatible with the DeWalt 20v Max and similar batteries. That means if you have power tools that use that same battery, you can use it for this brushless fan, too.
While it doesn’t have a clip that’s specific for the golf cart rails, you can certainly use a bungee cord or another type of tie to fasten it to a golf cart. It has three speeds, it’s quiet, and it will run for hours from a fully charged battery. And since the battery is replaceable, you can always take backup batteries, too. It also comes with an LED light around its perimeter, which makes it useful for job sites, desks, and other applications. And there are additional USB power ports in case you need it to charge your phone.
Amacool Magnetic Golf Cart Fan
CHECK AMAZON
Size: 5 inches
Speeds: 3
Price: $25
This one’s a little on the small side at just 5 inches, but it’s powerful enough (5000mAh) to get the job done. Plus, at some sites you can get two of them for $40, so it’s a really good deal. Since it’s magnetic, it’s perfect for the golf cart.
The head rotates 360 degrees vertically or horizontally. And there are three speeds, the highest of which can run continuously for more than six hours on a full charge.
Koonie Clip-On LED Fan
CHECK AMAZON
Size: 8 inches
Speeds: 4
Price: $42
The Koonie Clip-On Fan with LED light is powerful, charges quickly and comes with a couple of different mounting options. In addition to a clip – the most important for golf cart use – it also has a hook for other applications like camping.
This fan has a long battery life, so it’s no problem covering a round of golf on a full charge, and can fully charge in just 4.5 hours. It rotates 360 degrees both vertically and horizontally. One of the nicest features, however, is the digital display that shows air speed and power level.
Xasla Clip-On Fan
CHECK AMAZON
Size: 8 inches
Speeds: 3
Price: $36
Another highly rated clip-on fan with high user reviews, the Xasla fan is a solid, economical choice. It charges fully in just six hours, the clip works really well on golf carts, it’s quiet, and it produces a strong flow of air.
The head also rotates 360 degrees. It not only works well in golf, but like most of these fans, is a great travel companion as well. You can take it to a hotel, a gym, a boat, or camping, the last of which works particularly well since there is a light, too.
The Right Fan for You
I travel with my fan because I also like using it in hotels for white noise and to help drown out any outside disturbances that could interrupt my sleep. Plus, I like the breeze.
Before you pick one of these models, ask yourself a few questions. How much are you willing to spend? Where will you primarily use it? Do you use a push cart or powered cart primarily?
The price on these fans has really come down and these nine picks range from $25 to $60. If you only use it for golf, you don’t need a light on it. But if you camp or want to use it on a cruise, that might come in handy. If you use a push cart, try one of the smaller models. If it’s a metal push cart, a magnetic mount might be a must-have.
