Vision54 at Talking Stick Golf Club (Scottsdale)

If you’ve previously tried a golf academy and it wasn’t your cup of tea, we highly recommend giving Vision54 in Scottsdale a try. This program is built to improve not only your swing fundamentals but also your human skills. You’ll be amazed by the way Vision54 ties everyday life skills into your golf game to make one harmonious unit that helps you on and off the golf course.

Vision54 preaches that operating like a machine on the golf course just doesn’t work. Fundamentals can be both technical and human and this program teaches you to be your own best coach. Vision54 even offers situational training where you learn how to solve problems on the course and overcome challenges. Vision 54 offers remote coaching as well as a self-coaching option, but the true experience comes from the in-person options, of which you have several to choose.

  • 3-Day Human Skills Comprehensive ($3,500): This is the total package from Vision54 where you learn all nine of their Human Skills including your self-talk and decision-making. You also learn to master the three essentials of the golf swing (balance, tempo, and tension awareness). The maximum student/teacher ratio is 4:1 and each day consists of presentations, coaching, and on-course work.
  • 2-Day Go Deep, Go Low ($4,000): This two-day academy is built around diving deep into your presence and focus on the golf course while applying your skills to shoot better scores. This program is the next level for those who have already familiarized themselves with the Human Skills portion from Vision54 and is recommended for players with a 20 handicap and below.
  • 2-Day Human Skills ($2,000): The Human Skill aspect of Vision54 is part of the overall program and gives you the foundation of how to attack the golf course through understanding and focusing. Each day with this program includes 18 holes on the course learning how to apply your skills to on-course situations.

Vision54 offers many other options besides what we’ve included here, whether you’re looking for a single-day or multiple-day golf academy.

With nearly 4,000 alumni, Tour Striker Golf Academy gives you the confidence you need through on-course lessons and leaves you with a greater knowledge of what to practice and how to practice. From chipping, putting, driving, and play, and more, Tour Striker addresses all aspects of your game to get you on the path to success. • 3-Day Academy ($998): The 3-day academy includes breakfast and lunch each day, instruction from Martin Chuck and staff, 3D motion and ball flight analysis, daily take-home videos, and on-course play lessons.

Tour Striker Golf Academy also offers programs for juniors, as well as online and private coaching.

Eagle Mountain Golf Academy (Fountain Hills)

Eagle Mountain Golf Club in Fountain Hills is home to Eagle Mountain Golf Academy, one of the elite golf schools of Arizona. Derek Nannen is regarded as one of the best instructors in the game today and his program is built to help golfers of all abilities. Nannen played on the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour, and we like the fact that the analysis is coming from someone who isn’t just certified, but also played the game at the highest level. Nannen has taught with legends such as Hank Haney, Jim Flick, and Jim McLean.

  • 1-Day Academy ($425): Includes V1 video analysis, range time, chipping and putting, sand play, green reading, long game, on-course play, and lunch.
  • 2-Day Academy ($825): Includes everything listed above plus additional topics, video analysis, and additional greenside shots.
  • 3-Day Academy ($1,225): Includes everything listed above plus a third day dedicated to on-course work.

This state-of-the-art facility is located at Legacy Golf Club and is part of the Golf Channel Academy. You’ll learn on a four-level putting green and a short-game complex in addition to the range. The programs emphasize ball control and the mental side of golf. Your improvement comes from identifying key strengths and weaknesses and focusing on the ideal combination of those. The Legacy Golf Performance Center noted that its alumni have competed and won on all major tours including the PGA Tour. Your academy will have a maximum student/teacher ratio of 4:1, no matter how many days you reserve.
