I played the course on a wet early spring day just to get a feel of the course to see whether I would like to come back this summer and play some more with friends. All I can say is not to play after it has rained. The course has some significant drainage problems as was evident from sand trap ponds. Right now the course is undergoing some improvements in that area so I am anxious to see what it is like in a couple of months. The design of the course is fantastic. There is a little of everything: hills, flat, long, wide, narrow and a good bit of water. The par five finishing hole is great too. If you're going to play the course, wait til about mid April after the fairways are grown back in nicely and don't play it wet. Very enjoyable otherwise.

This course was in bad financial trouble and on the verge of closing but with the help of 4 local business men and the Woodridge Home assoc. it is becoming the best golf course in the area. I have played there this year and every trip improvements are being made. The staff is very friendly and the rates, $27.00 weekends and $22.00 weekdays are a steal. Fairways are defined and being fertalized along with the greens. Tee boxes still need work. I was told that the grounds keeper from Glade Springs has been helping with course conditions. Great place to play

A darned shame... This is a nice layout, but the condition is DEPLORABLE. As noted by another reviewer, the bunkers are indeed mudpits with crabgrass growing in them -- literally several inches high! If you are a student of history and golf course design, play it. It's a very fair design & very playable. The greens are a mess & very slow. It's not walker-friendly since the distances from greens to tees are very far. They're overwatering, which is just making the weeds grow faster. Such a shame...

I believe this could be the best course in the area if the maintenance was a little better. Most of the greens are still very nice and the course itself is beautiful ( minus the houses and apartments). Not much elevation changes but a lot of rolling hills if you do not hit the fairways which lead to a lot of funny shots. I will definetly be playing this course again.

Serious rough, you want to hit the fairways. Great layout with alot of shot choices. Decent fairways with soft greens that aren't that fast. A little better maintenace and it would be the best course in the area.

Golf course is supposedly experiencing financial difficulties. The greens are being maintained and are good, however the tees, fairways and rough are only being mowed once every 1-2 weeks. There is NO sand in the mud pits that used to be bunkers. Great layout, hopefully someone will make an investment and revive this challenging tract.
