This course is perfect for an experienced golfer who wants to play a quick round at a great price. The course changed owners 2 years ago and they have put money into improving the clubhouse and the condition of the fairways.

Don’t let the name fool you - East Greenwich Golf Club is actually a public course. A 9 hole round at this regulation golf course costs $15 walking or $25 riding. An amazing deal for a course at this level.

The course is quite long for 9 holes at 3,315 yards. You’ll find two Par 3’s and two Par 5’s. Hole #7 (500 yards) is the signature hole because of the difficult hazards (3 sand traps and a water hazard on the right.) The other long hole (#3 at 520 yards) is also really challenging. You tee off of a cliff onto a narrow fairway with thick woods on the left and right.

This course has a hazard on nearly every hole, so you’ll get plenty of practice hitting over water and out of greenside bunkers. Get ready to hit over a lake on Hole #8 (some regulars say this is the most difficult hole on the course.)

East Greenwich Golf Club is a good option for intermediate golfers looking to improve the finer points of their game. Since it’s a challenging course but still just 9 holes, it’s not too overwhelming. More experienced golfers will enjoy the level of challenge and quick pace of play.

Greens are generally well maintained and feature Kentucky bluegrass, although there is a problem with golfers replacing divots. There can also be dry spots on the fairway occasionally in hot weather. The edge of the fairway is heavily wooded. Greens are very fast, so use a gentle touch and adjust club selection accordingly.

East Greenwich Golf Club has an outstanding restaurant called Circe. It’s basically fine dining food in a relaxed atmosphere. Dishes are perfectly plated and it’s a great spot to enjoy the 19th hole.

This course offers plenty of challenges (even for the experienced golfer) at a very reasonable rate. It’s a rare find!

A great course for it's size, a course that won't beat you up but will give you a good challenge. This course is good for all ages and I find it flows pretty well with not much of a back up because of the layout. Layout of restaurant and outside bar incredible, and full menu and food outstanding.

Challenging course but well worth your money. Greens are tough and are well taken care of. Course offers a little of everything to make you a better golfer.

Very challenging course with lots of water. Course is in good shape and greens are well manicured.

The club attendant was rude and disrespectful. The course was unmanicured and the grounds crew had no regard for the few people that were on the course. This course failed to even approach meeting my expectations and the clown at the front desk made it my most unenjoyable golf outing ever.

Maybe the worst clubhouse attendant I've ever come across, this guy is miserable and ruins any round by making life difficult and generally being a jerk.

A constantly improving course, and their greatest improvement stands in getting rid of this arrogant jerk

The Course

I am a member at the course and i find it very challenging. The course is a 9 hole par 36 and has 2 par 3's and 2 par 5's. The rates are 20 on the weekends and 17 during the week. Gas carts are 15 and pull carts 2. There is a bar and a kitchen

hole 1) 400 yard, straight par four with two sand traps on the left. This like the other holes are this and demand precision on your drive
hole 2) A 375 par four with a dog leg right up a steep hill. There are woods on the right and a river
hole 3) a long 520 yard par 5 where you hit off of a cliff. There is out-of-bounds on the left (woods) and the right
hole 4) a 400 yard par four with 2 sand traps guarding the green
hole 5) a par 4, 400 yard hole with a lake about 300 in the fairway and another lake on the right. The green is protected by woods and water
hole 6) the newest edition to the course. A 200 yard par three that has a sand trap in front of the green. You are surrounded by woods on all sides on this hole
hole 7) An extremely hard par 5, 500 yard hole. Has a water hazard on the right and four sand trap throughout the hole
hole 8) my personal favorite a par 4 400 yard hole. dog leg left at about 300 yards where you have to hit over a beautiful lake to get to the green, which has a sand trap around it
hole 9) a difficult 200 yard par 3. It is up hill and the green in very sloped. Many people have to use a wood or low iron to reach the green, which is guarded by 2 sand traps

This course is difficult for all players. The greens are very fast and the course demands accuracy. The owner, Michael Kroin, is nicest and most respectful man i know. The course is well kept and has a course pro that give lesson at a reasonable price.

Overall the course is great and easy to find. I give it a 10 out of 10
