Played here a few times since i moved to the area. The course is in great shape. Very difficult, with lots of blind tee shots. Great views, especially the 3rd, a par 3 in which you need to carry a waterfall, but land short of another waterfall. Very hilly with rolling terrain. Absolutely loved it, price is a little steep but if you can get a good deal of golf now, it is totally worth it. Also, they dont sell beer but it is a BYOB which was unheard of by me before this. Cant beat it. Most courses will charge you almost 20 dollars for a six pack, here you can pick up a case and they will supply the ice. Overall, I loved it

Average Course that overcharges

Played this course on the Tee Time Pass Book. Still cost me $25. Too much for a course that was in average shape. The other reviews are absolutely correct about blind shots and landings. A lot of holes, you cannot see where your ball lands. If it's in the rough it can be very difficult to find. Same thing with yardage markers, they are hidden and few and far between. The maintenance was terrible. Lots of areas on the course that were dug up. High weeds were growing around the sand traps. Rough was very high and thick in the blind landings. On the 9th hole it was almost impossible to find a ball that was in the rough. The best part about the course was the greens. They rolled very true and held the ball nice. Staff was friendly and laid back. If you decide to play this course make sure you give yourself plenty of time. It is at minimum a 4 1/2 hour round in a group of 4. You will spend at least a total of 30 minutes during the round riding from green to tee box. (maybe the higher prices are to cover for gas for the carts) In conclusion, I would not say I wouldn't play there again, but I think there are better places to play in the area.

The cousre was in very nice condition, but definitely had quite a few blind shots. I will be back.

Played here yda. Great course layout BUT for first time there course needs to be mapped with a yardage book. Many blind shots with hazards. Also cart paths very poor condition. Greens super fast. Wed is senior day great value.

This is one of my favorite tracks to play in the area. It is very challenging course with smooth greens and penalizing rough. A long walk if you don't want the cart. Lots of doglegs and elevation changes, and a few blind shots. Give this little jem a try, I think you'll be back again!

Good challenge for the money. Aeration going on now and I was not able to play all 18 holes. For $20 w/cart not bad. NO good food but easy to find. 5200 yds for ladies but not too overwhelming.A lot of blind shots over hills. Tee Time Book place.

Lack of Courtsey

Our group played the course may 26,2007 and were told the course was in great shape. There was a major Pipeline being put in, that went across 2 fairways. The dirt area was about 70 yards deep with 10 ft high dirt mounds, I'd call that a slight change to course conditions. This management should tell you when you book the tee time or at least when you get there. Also the cart paths are falling apart and the lack of yardage markers made the round take longer to play. On a course that hilly there should be some above ground ( poles ) markers to speed up play. Overall all 8 of us were disappointed with course conditions and management. Won't go back.

Great course to ride and play on any day. If I lived closer I'd play 3 - 4 days aweek. People are great and put on awesome charity events. This is a must!

Greg- Greencastle

This course is worth a visit! It's a challenging course though long ball hitters will have an advantage. The course rolls over hills just outside of Greencastle. The signature Par 3 3rd hole has a man-made waterfall and fountain. Perhaps the toughest hole in all of Franklin County is the long Par 4 10th with an island green that bisects itself with an abrupt elevation change. The next two holes are no less challenging. For short hitters, strategy is premium, whether to go for it or not. The conditions are wonderful and though I've had some tough rounds, I've always enjoyed the lay-out though I would not want to walk the 18 due to the long walk from some greens to tees. This course is worth the has a unique feel to it!
