This is a great public course that is well maintained. The fairways were green and lush, sand traps full and firm, greens slow-ish but smooth. Noted a nice grass range and putting green. Recommend golf cart as the distance between holes is sometimes lengthy. Fast play is encouraged and the regulars really play quick. Great value.

I'm a beginner golfer and to me the ratings I gave are right especially the value, because I paid $14 to play, with a tee-time pass book

Good course, plays cheap with the golf card ($32 on a weekend after 11:30). Recommended

This is a beautiful course that is very well maintained. I can not recommend playing this on a weekend though. When I played here, we were constantly rushed with groups right behind us and couldn't move faster because of a group in front. The ranger threatened to remove us from the course because the twosome we were paired up with decided to go off and play ahead on their own. $52 a round is expensive for me, and I can say that I didn't enjoy the round at all because of the rush we were in. Things may be better during the weekday, but it will be a long time until I give this course another try.

My friend John and I drove down from Binghamton, N.Y. on 03/07/08 to play the course on it's opening day. We were fairly impressed, even though it was early in the season and nothing had greened up yet. You can tell that this course is well maintained. The fairways were dense and the greens were smooth. The course has the benefit of being directly over a shale bed, so drainage is not a problem. Many of the other courses in the area were saturated, with standing water everywhere. We saw little of that here. The course appears to be competently laid out as well. The holes flow nicely, with the exception of a couple of the par 3's. They seemed a little jammed in and too short, by our standards. Some of the holes have parallel fairways, so expect to see errant drives from other holes and the golfers that accompany them. There is a lot of elevation change and some beautiful panoramic views. The one ding is the rock infested bunkers that seem to plague courses in this region. Somewhere along the line, sifting technology must have been lost in this area, like seatbelt technology aboard the USS Enterprise. Carts are gas powered and fairly well maintained. Not much was available in the clubhouse, so we can't give a fair rating on all of the amenities. The pro-shop had some nice items, and I got a logo'd shirt at a crazy low price. Speaking of price, the course is not a bad deal, particularly on the golf card.

Decent course at an ok price. Relatively short course all around. Conditions are decent but not great. Holes 2,8,10 and 17 are all packed together in a row, all about the same distance. People are constantly playing their miss hit balls in your fairways on these holes. The rest of the layout is better with some nice elevation changes and some challenge. The greens were in good shape and many were two tiered and had some degree of undulation. Scenery is nice with some good views of the Bath countryside. Overall a decent place to play with some challenging holes.

This course is great for golfers that need practice at a hard course for a cheap price. Even though the par 3's could be better the course is still lots of fun.
