I've been passing this course on the way to and from work for years. Finally I decided last Friday that I'd try it out on the way home from work. I was extremely disappointed. First off the course condition was horrible. Everything was chewed up, busted sprinkler heads on the fairways, broken ball washers, the bridges along the cart paths are in disrepair....nothing was draining properly (after the rain we had earlier in the day). Worse, the fairways could have been my front yard...long and "flowery". None of the tee boxes are labeled...and there weren't directional it's easy to get lost...especially on the one hole where you must cross back over the bridge to get to the next tee box from the previous green. Also the tee markers are hard to distingguish what color they are...some are multi-colored. All that and it cost $17 to ride 9 holes....a real rip-off when compared to an average course in the area. I will not return. Frankly I'll be surprised to see the place stay in business in it's current condition.

This course is difficult because the distances are incorrect and you can almost never see where you need to land the ball at. this course really beats the fox by far.

The things about roseridge that make me mad are how slow the greens are and about how off their scorecard distances are. There aren't even any signs for the holes and how they don't mark the blue or gold tees on the score card. The distances for each hole are rounded to the nearest tenth or fifth. The only distance that is correct is #11, the downhill par 3. I tried to guestimate the total distance of the course once and I got around 5600 yards. They say 6520 yards from the whites. Most of the par 4s are driveable or a driver and wedge in. I'm only a kid, and can hit a drive 215 at best when I was on the golf team, and I came close to driving #6 which the scorecard says is 345. Yes I know it is hard to believe that roseridge is someone's home course. The only reasons that I return there are for the beautiful scenery on the back 9 especially. The approach into 10 and 11 is amazing, and crossing the bridge from 14 to 15 over that creek is amazing along with the mountainside on 13. I also go there to score well. The average scratch golfer could probably break 60 if they could putt well. Roseridge is the perfect place for a golf course and could easily be a country club if they put in bunkers and fixed up the greens.

I enjoy this course very much. For a Pittsburgh course, it's pretty flat with alot of water hazards, very rare. The front nine is completely different from the back nine. Lots of fun to play, sure to have a great round. Only issue would be the bar/clubhouse is kind of crappy, aside from that the course is in very good shape.

Rose Ridge is the golf course of the world

rose ridge is by far the best course in the great country of america. I go there at least 4 times a week, and i improve every time. It is a sic wit it environment, very fun and any golfer can come here. Good for upper highschool and college kids looking to improve their game. Good condition, nice scenery, especially the back nine and driving range right on site. It is the most sic wit it course in the world.

i went to the u.s open today, and ya it was nice, but not sic wit it like my course rose henge. rose henge is the best course, hands down, and i would rather go there than anywhere in the world because of how sic wit it that course friggin is. rose henge for life baby.

i golfed at rose henge again for the ladt time for about a week cuz i got football campo and i shot a 41 on the back 9, its my best score on a single 9 ever and i was like yeh bit yeh. but to get down to the point, i love this course so much i am going into a slight stage of withdrawl knowing i can not go for a week, i am sad about it. Thats how much i love my home course.
