Best public course I've ever played, challenging, beautiful layout, and well maintained. Definitely worth the money

Could easily be the premiere course in the valley with better maintenance. The condition when it first opened crushes what it has become. Still very enjoyable despite that though. Lots of elevation changes etc. Honestly, with faster greens, better tee-boxes, and better drainage, this place would be a 100$ course. Oh well.

This is a cool Southern OR course with a interesting and challenging layout - especially from the back tees. The only problem is drainage, or lack thereof. The lower fairways can be very soggy and sloppy, even during times of low or no rain. If this course would consider drying out the fairways it would receive a great deal of more play. Most golfers in Medford feels the same way (management are you listening?).

I played this course on Monday 4/6/09. Twilight rate was $20 walking. Wonderful afternoon in the Rouge Valley, 80 deg. I live in the Portland area and had not played the course since it opened. This is a great course. The facilities are just right for a golf only course, friendly staff, and adequite inventory in the pro shop. The course plays very well with generous landing areas (be sure to play the right tees for your level of game) and large greens, but can be a real challenge if the pins are in the right spots. The scenery is open and rural with a great view of Mt. McLoughlin. The course condition when I played was good. I think the course plays best from late spring through October. the course is walkable if you are a regular walker playing golf. I walked the course with a speed cart, and while there is a hill going up numbers 10 & 11, the rest of the course reasobably flat. If you like golf, this is a course worthy of playing, I'll stop by more often.

Great course layout. I think this is the prettiest golf course in the Rogue Valley. My only beef with the course is that the drainage is terrible and the greens could putt a little faster. The pro shop staff is very friendly and the have a great selection in the club house. And the value is great $40 dollars with a cart on weekdays. For best golf make sure you play it in the dry parts of the year and you will be very happy.

A definate

This course is a definate must play if you are in southern Oregon. The fairways are great and the greens are well maintained and beautiful. The price was fantastic, called and got a tee time and found that it was only $33 per person for 18 holes. Beverage cart girl was friendly and always seemed to be right around the corner. The course ranger was friendly, very informative and helpful.
