Glennwood really stands out because of the pride of ownership. It’s family owned & operated, and you can tell the owners genuinely love the game of golf. That attitude alone sets the tone for a great experience at this course. You’ll feel welcome at this course, which is something you don’t often find at a public course.

The course features tight fairways and large, fast greens. If you hit straight, you’ll be ok. Don’t let the large greens fool you. Pin placement can be tricky sometimes and long putts can sneak up on you. Greens are fast. There is one tee box throughout the course and a driving range to warm up at.

The main hazard you’ll find on the course is water. This course sneaks up on you. It doesn’t appear that difficult at first, but it demands a strong short game as well as good aim. Overall, it’s a shorter course with a good pace of play. It’s a great spot for a regular round of golf. The course is also walkable. It’s especially scenic in the Fall when the leaves are changing color.

The price is reasonable - $34 with cart. The course is very well-maintained and does a good job with adding in elements of difficulty and straightforward play. It makes for a good pace during a round. There’s plenty of variety in the hole lengths as well - you’ll find twelve par 4 holes, two par 5 holes and four par 3 holes. The longest hole is #5 at 459 yards.

After you’re round, there’s the clubhouse to enjoy. It’s very clean with a comfortable atmosphere. This course exceeds expectations, especially for a public course. You’ll feel a warm welcome, which you don’t often find at the average golf course. Highly recommended!

Very well maintained. Short but challanging. Owners are constantly looking for ways to improve . Great course. Many challanging holes and difficult greens

Winter residents of Florida, we are very impressed with the course, especially the overall maintenance of Glenwood. It is always kept in excellent condition even with the everpresent geese. Besides the hazards that flocks and flocks of geese offer, water hazards are everywhere. Although the fairways are relatively wide and greens huge, the water increases the difficulty of play. The staff is always pleasant and ready to be of assistance. We have enjoyed our play at this course.

Nice course for a nice price

Glenwood is short course that is very well maintained by the Green family (as opposed to their relatives across the road). The layout is very playable and offers some challenging holes. The greens are big, but offer some tough pin placements. They also offer a full driving range at the course, so if you are like me and need to hit a few to warm up, this course is perfect for you. I would definitely recommend playing this course if you are in the area.

Something for every golfer at Glenwood Golf Course

The first thing you will notice are the well groomed "HUGE" greens. The fairways are fairly wide and always kept mowed. If you're hitting straight and stay out of trouble you will post good scores, providing you can handle the long putts you will get occasionally. There are opportunities where you can cut the corners if you're a gambler but as the trees get older you may get more conservative. I just love playing here. It is a tremendous value and everyone is so friendly, even the Gators in the ponds. Yes, there are Gators!
