I played here after the flood, and the course was in rough shape. Most courses in the area that suffered damage have dicounted their fees, Genny hasn't. The course is laid out in an open field and most holes are straight forward. The guy in the clubhouse gave me attitude because I had a coupon. I wasn't impressed and probably wont return.

I visited the course on 9/24/11 and was very disappointed. They should not have let anyone on the course especially with carts. There was standing water everywhere, the carts left tracks and were getting stuck and you could not find your ball because of high grass, water and that the ball kept plugging. We played the front 9 and asked for a refund for the back nine. They only gave us $13.00 back and no chance for us to play here again.

These are my first impressions of this course based on just my first visit, I will give it another try in the fall. I was glad I played with a friend who knew his way around since it was a little hard to find your way around otherwise. I was a little disappointed to find no fairway or yardage markers to speak of with all that flat land you might shoot at the wrong flag. The fairway was very dry and had many bare spots that almost looked like a cart path from the tee boxes, the rough was very green and deep on the front 9, while under control on the back 9. They send you out every 4 minutes which backs up play while everybody spends so much time looking for their ball that rolled off the fairway into the super deep rough only 3 feet from the fairway. The large greens were in very good shape when compared to the fairways without any ball marks to speak of since they were rather hard and next to impossible to hold if you were shooting into them from 75 yards - out. I did find a yellow yardage marker in the 17th fairway which I later found out was 200 yards in (why it wasn't blue I'm unsure) I think they should place 100-150-200 yardage stakes in the center of the fairway so you can find your way around the few doglegs since there are several ponds and you do follow the rivers edge and shooting for the green grass meant you were aiming for the rough. Was also disappointed with my microwaved $3 hotdog since they have a full kitchen. All and all it is a nice course - can use some improvement in course maintenance and would be best played in the spring or fall when the grass grows better and it is not too hot for them to get out and mow, now that I have seen it - I will give it another try and think my opinion will improve with just a slight improvement in conditions - it does seem popular, large crowd at our 9:22 tee off time. I also think a 6 or 8 minutes between groups will help better with the flow out on the course - it takes some of the fun out of it when people are hitting up into you while playing, especially when it is your first time there and you are trying to figure out your distance without any real markers to help.
