Greenwood is your typical laid back, 9-hole golf course. The facilities and the maintenance make it appear a bit run down, but there’s still plenty of fun to be had.

One thing that’s unique about this course is that you’ll find a number of longer holes. Distance is the main challenge at Greenwood, since there aren’t any sand or water hazards. Five of the holes on the course are over 400 yards and there are two tee boxes. Holes #6 and #9 are short par 3’s.

The layout of the course is flat and the fairways are very wide. There are some sparse trees throughout the course, but nothing that presents too much of a challenge. Most of the fairways run long and straight. Watch out for hole #5 (500 yards) which is a blind shot and doglegs to the right.

Greenwood is a great bargain. The green fee is $12 and it’s $21 with a cart. Since the course is so long, riding in a cart is recommended. The carts are a bit old and in need of repair, so they get stuck sometimes. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The clubhouse has drinks and simple hot food items like burgers and hot dogs.

The biggest problem with this course is the condition of the course. In parts it looks like cow pasture. The fairways aren’t regularly weeded or mowed. Greens also run slow. Maintenance could definitely be improved.

For a 9-hole course, the pace of play is good and the longer fairways offer something different and more challenging. It’s an excellent bargain and the staff are friendly and welcoming. If you keep your expectations in place for the condition of the fairways, you’ll enjoy a swift practice round.

For the price it is a great little course to get out and practice. Has enough variety of hole length and distance to work on short game and drives. Friendly people, laid back and relaxed atmosphere.

A nice little 9 hole course, with great staff. Sure, it's not TPC Sawgrass, but it's only 10 bucks for a fun 9 holes. Friendly folks, and plenty of yardage to challenge your skills. Also a great place to take the kids when they are learning. Enjoy!
