The home of the 6 hour round. it took me 3 hours to play through hole 10, when I went back to the pro shop the Manager/ golf Pro Doug Jansen, said there was nothing he could do, that this is common for public golf courses. I guess if you're trying to get a round of 18 in, maybe in under 4 hours this is not the place for you. The course has been around since 1925 but if it continues under this management, I can't see it being around for much longer. Not to mention how they don't take care of it, the brown spots on the fairways and greens are atrocious!! Save your money and play Timber Point or West Sayville, much nicer courses, and on a busy day, you will be out of there in no more than 4 1/2 hours
