Pitman is a course that I am very familiar with since I live nearby. I play golf all over the Delaware Valley and I must say that this course rates right with the other publics I play. Pitman is NOT Pine Valley, folks. It's run by Gloucester County and they do not always get the water ration they really need for the fairways and greens, but they make the best of it. During rationing years, other course in the county seem to get preference. Pitman is an old course (1923) that I first played back in 1986 and it has improved greatly since the county took it back over from Ron Jaworski in the ealry to mid-90's. It can be challenging depending upon where you hit your tee shot (obviously...) on most holes. It can also get you one of your best scores ever. Great for the money, in my opinion; especially if you can register as a Gloucester County resident each year and play the course more than one or two times. Orist Wells, the pro, is a real pro and a good man. His lessons are He runs a good course. I recommend it highly.

Played this course today and found the greens and fairways in good shape. The tee boxes were pretty beat up. I couldn't understand why the restaurant was closed for lunch since the parking lot was half full.
The price was too high for a senior rate of $41 to ride.
