Golden Pheasant Golf Club, Lumberton, NJ

Golden Pheasant is a nice course with some fun holes tucked away from urban New Jersey. Unlike PA, where nice, hidden, less crowded affordable courses are in abundance New Jersey offers very few, but this is one. The course is well maintained and the greens are fair and of average speed. Although Golden Pheasant isn't glamorous you definately get your bang for your buck. A few cool holes, nice scenery, affordable, and the best attractant....less people which for me equates to time and for others equates to not being pushed even if you allow a faster person or 2some to play through. The value compared to courses in a similar price range would, at minimum, hold it's own weight. They have logo balls, a huge plus for the collector like myself. Only drawback is that the course is a little short, MAYBE 5700 depite what the scorecard reads. Overall rating A-.
