Just played at Bully yesterday in what was a perfect day for golf. Sunny, low 80's, very little wind. The course is in wonderful shape from tee to green. Cant find any complaints about this course.
I too am blown away by the beauty that is offered with the Badlands surrounding you as you meander through the course. The back 9 does really get you in touch with nature as you play high atop the cliffs.
What sets this course out I think is the professionalism on display with all the staff. I've played courses that rival Bully Pulpit in scenery (SW Utah, CO., NV.) but the staff is what sets it apart from others.
Medora is a great little town if you appreciate history and a small town atmosphere. You must play this course if you are here and bring a camera.

Simply the best. Every hole is a postcard. If there is a finer course, I have not played it yet.

The gnat problem has been addressed and the course is maturing nicely with age. This course truly offers a unique golf experience.

I have played courses all over the country and I consider this my favorite course of them all, and this includes some of the "historical" courses like Pinehurst #2, Cherry Hills, PGA West and others. The front 9 of the "Bully" is flatter but tricky because the scenery does not allow you to concentrate like you should. The back 9, starting with #14, I believe, is fabulous and a great driving hole that again will not let you concentrate because on both sides of the fairway of this Par 4 are rugged buttes of immense beauty, with the fairway of this hole, and every hole, being in perfect condition. Then comes the Par 3 that is indescribable, but you need to hit one of your better shots of the day because it is either on the green, 1st or 2nd cut, or someplace you would rather not talk about! This is a course that is worth the trip to Medora more than once a summer, as we drive from just outside Denver, CO to play this course and cannot wait to return when we leave. We are natives of the Dakota's, having left about 25 years ago, but Bully Pulpit sure gives us cause to return!
