Been playing this course for 12 years and I've never seen it this bad. Golf has become an after thought to the new restaurant. The change to the course are awful. It's as if a novice that doesn't understand golf decided to redesign the thing. The pro shop and locker room are embarrassing. It seems they forgot that they needed them and added them after the building was built. The condition is horrible. It's sad to see. This was one of the most enjoyable courses within 100 miles. Now it's worth skipping. I can't believe anyone that knows anything about golf had a hand in these changes.

greens have taken a beating due to heat? tee boxes look very rough also to be charged 32.00 on a tuesday is ridiculas but fairways and rough are emaculant

I played his course yesterday as part of the Western Peidmont Seniors of course it was a real value. We played from the Gold Tees so it was probably 5500 yrds or so. THis is probably one of the best maintained cursesI have played on as part of this group. THe fairways were immaculate....the greens smooth and true and prtty quick. THe fairways were generous as someone pointed out earlier. There are a number of hazards that cross the fairways in the driving landing areas and it helps to play with a member or someone who has played there before. I had the advice of a member on club selection which was helpful. Its semi hilly with which required a few downhill lies on your second shot. All in All it was a very enjoyable course and one I intend to play again.

I hooked up with 5 other golfers and we played 2 groups of 3 players. This was my first time there. I think Brushy Mountain has the widest fairways I've played in my 7-month golfing career. I don't think I even lost a ball yesterday. I really really enjoyed the course and will be anxious to return soon. Thank You Brushy Mountain !!

Golf course is in very good shape. This summer, the rough was grown up, which I think is great, because before summer, the rough was not penal at all. Now, it is. However, it is causing play to slow down. Many balls are being lost just barely in the rough. Can't beat the condition though.

Not a bad place to play

Outside of the ridiculously slow pace of play this course provides a fair test of golf at an affordable price. I guess it doesn't matter when you try and get out here, but mornings are always packed. I've tried calling this place a single many times and always get a very cold "no" when attempting to get a tee time, or get hooked up with a twosome of threesome. Basically it's all good 'ol boys here, and they really guard their space well. Brushy is in very good shape, especially for what you pay. The course is not the most challenging, but it's not the easiest either. It's not a dull round of golf. If I ever play here again it will be well into the afternoon. Mornings are just about impossible. And this was on a Wednesday when I showed up here. I can't even imagine weekends here.
